as i live in South Florida long time I compare prices and as a result bought me machine gun in case revolution start.
taxes of all kinds jump 10 times such as traffic tickets, gas double, plane tickets almost double, copper products double but on a positive note my federal government budget paid by Chinese in half.
Jobs disappear and never come back etc. we are lucky real estate taxes same as everybody foreclosures on properties. nice.

The word has its meaning rooted in the fact that when the bible was compiled, certain early books of Christian writing were deliberately not included in the bible, these texts are referred to as the apocrypha.
Thus apocryphal (note the spelling is not the same as in the post) means erroneous; fictitious, i.e of questionable authorship or authenticity.

However, while the post mentions the purchase of a machine gun, note the irony of the increased expense of the copper jacket ammo mentioned.

for the unwashed masses of beautiful, downtown SoFla, empty beer cans hurled from foreclosed balconies will often suffice.

CANDY...maxwell kenton...refers to Terry Southern (1 May 1924 – 29 October 1995) was an American author, essayist, screenwriter and university lecturer, noted for his distinctive satirical style. Part of the Paris postwar literary movement in the 1950s and a companion to Beat writers in Greenwich Village, Southern was also at the center of Swinging London in the sixties and helped to change the style and substance of American films in the 1970s. In the 1980s he wrote for Saturday Night Live and lectured on screenwriting at several universities in New York.

Southern's dark and often absurdist style of satire helped to define the sensibilities of several generations of writers, readers, directors and film goers. He is credited by journalist Tom Wolfe as having invented New Journalism with the publication of "Twirling at Ole Miss" in Esquire in 1962, and his gift for writing memorable film dialogue was evident in Dr. Strangelove, The Loved One, The Cincinnati K*D, Easy Rider, and The Magic Christian. His work on Easy Rider helped create the independent film movement of the 1970s.

thanking you.

One small extension/amplification of the meaning of apocryphal is that something that could be true or was in the style of, can be apocryphal--it isn't necessarily untrue or counterfeit but authenticity can't be verified--a more positive meaning than the word questionable, tho' that's the way dictionaries phrase it. Here's an example of one from the humorist/satirist Robert Benchley:
