I hope you're kidding - I would like to live there someday. Is corruption really that bad? I thought Costa Rica was a cut above your average Latin American country.

Always be aware of the disclaimer in any greengo post.

That is for each reader to decide. As with every post made here you are free to evaluate it make a decision on how factual it is and I am free to make my own decision. At times we may arrive a different conclusions. So be it.

Greengo (an honorary Brother if there ever was one) has a way of elucidating and illuminating essential truths by a very circuitous path. An essential question here is--What is corruption? The Mexican La Mordida or direct cash compensation? Or a deeper-level more spiritual variation (the US gambit where politicians are in the pocket of corporate interests while assuring you they are acting in your best interest)? I find the Mexican Model more honest long term.
And what forgodsakes is going to happen to him Monday? Stay tuned, Sports Fans. A thrill a minute with CR love in it.

The new traffic law with draconian fines and the new immigration law take effect on Monday.

Greengo always has these type of incredible insights. Costa Rica must truly suck. I do believe every word he says.

So, Greengo, how long will you be staying? Better get out quick.

It's my view greengo only calls it like it is. If it disrupts anyone's distorted view of what life in a banana republic is all about....particular if it involves whores, well....live with it; deal with it; and by all means, please: Go on down there; buy some property....get all settled in....and then check back after, oh...say....18 mos. and let us all know just how great it is. I ain't holdin' my breath....and I can do that for a long time....I'm a scuba diver and the hobby has come in handy when birds of the night have been involved!...... 8)

Does the Brother scuba in Aruba after a tuba fulla dooba? just wondering...

Aruba sucks as a dive destination. It's better suited for board sailing with a most unforgiving off shore wind that is so intense, it's bent all the trees.....no lie....; however, preferring off shore breezes myself (breeze differing from wind by many, many knots) because they contribute in a very significant way to flat water board sailing (note....it is not "wind surfing".....), Grand Cayman Island on a good December or January day will do just dandy, thank you very much.... 8)
