I knew this was where I should come for help with the collective wisdom of the bros here.

I need to get a physical done and have the form (for employment) but it must be completed and in English. Does anyone have recommendations on a good English speaking doctor in San Jose with access to facilities for stuff like EKG, blood work, etc...?

Also need a dentist who can do X-rays. Thanks.

I am working on a short turnaround time and any help would be greatly appreciated. Here or via PM is great either way.
Thanks Guys...

I recommend

Dr. Juan Valdista Perez Valverde
Clinica Biblica, 3rd floor
2258-7378
8812-9515

Speaks excellent English and since he is located in Clinica Biblica any lab or tests you need can be done right there. Easiest to reach on his cell phone 8812-9515. Leave a message and he will call you back. He does not answer phone calls when he is with patient.

I would guess there is a dentist at the hospital. Ask Dr. Perez if you go to see him if he can recommend one.

As for a dentist, I had a good experience with Dr. Castro in Sabana Sur. His office is 100 m. sur McDonald's in Sabana. His office is on the same side of the street as McDonalds, corner building, yellowish in color. He's on the second floor. I've had friends go there for implants, he did a crown for me. Not the cheapest guy in town. He has his own lab on premises. X-rays, absolutely.

For a dentist next door to IDEM try Dr. Pacheco. He does all my work . Very nice office and staff.

A search here will turn up some Dentists, and we now have one as a Sponsor (doesn't help much unless you're a CRT VIP).
For basic work at a lesser price, try:
Dra. Yalile Sanchez @(506) 2227-1835 She's been mentioned here before.

I had a complete physical with songram from neck to crotch, echocardigram by a cardiologist, bloodwork including PSA, chest ex-ray and time with doctor and dietician at CIMA for $356. They even fed me breakfast and lunch for the same price. Most everyone spoke English and the report was in English. I brought it all back to my doctor in the US who wanted $2,000 cash for the same thing. :D

Brother Lennydo's excellent post shows that Costa Rica has successfully established itself as a world destination for medical/ dental tourism. And some P4P in the bargain? SHEE-IT!
We have a Brother who does medical tourism--PM me for details (Brothers only please--no trolls).

I have had physicals done at CIMA and Clinica Biblica. Both good, thorough, cheap compared to Obamaville, and results right away. English available for results, no language problem with the doctors or staff. anyone can pm me for names, contacts or other info. Also, the best Dentist I have seen works at Clinica Biblica. She looks like a 14 year old but is fabulous with great credentials. I will be there on 1-13 for some derma work.
Let me know if I can help.
