I have the chance of purchasing a water sports business in the Tamarindo / Flamingo area.
Based on the information I have obtained the business was sold about 6 months ago and now is for sale again due to "family reasons". There is a contract with a local hotel in which the hotel uses this business mostly. They have expanded it a little but not much, mostly advertising and marketing.
All the equipment is part of the purchase price.

Basically, I am taking a chance myself with this and can not finance it on my own so I am looking for others who may be willing to take a chance with me.

As far as returns are concerned they would be based on the profitability and the amount invested. It would be a co-ownership.

The cost for the business is $75,000.00 but I have not started any negotiations. If you are interested PM me here on the board.

And YES, it is so I can live and work in Costa Rica, which is some thing I would like to do.

:D :D :D What nothing about my novia / ex-novia in this post. :D :D :D

I would also like to live in CR, at least for a little while :D Unfortunately I'm poor and can't invest. Anybody want to invest in me retiring in CR (only a few grand a month) so I can invest in Patriot's deal?

One guy was trying to get me to "invest" in a condo in Jaco. He kept telling me that when the new highway goes in, it will be a 45 minute ride from San Jose. I told him that for a 45 minute ride, I'll just go home and sleep in my bed in San Jose.

Thanks for Playing.

Brother Patriot--Have we got a Tico strip club offer for you! And at less than 1/2 that water sports price!! And I always thought that "water sports" meant something else...
Seriously, owning anything in CR is not for relative amateurs and buying a business, trebly so. Remember the motto of CR is "A sunny place for shady people." This all may be harsh but you'll thank us later.

To get the residency you have to invest at least $200 000 in a tourist project! There are other options but if you want to get residency because you are investing this is the minimum amount.
