Has anyone had a problem with VPN access to their jobs in the states via public WIFI from one of the hotels in SJ ?

VPN speed from CR crawls. I had no luck at HLH and Sportsman Lodge. Didn't bother trying it at any other place. Couldn't even open a word.doc. This was about a year ago.

I have used VPN back to the US from the SL, brought up a server at another remote location via Remote Desktop. It's hit or miss, but it can be done.

No problem for me. Use it from SL, Castillo and Amistad without any issues. VPN’s shouldn’t be an issue as long as the connection is stable.
