Any reason there is no skydiving in Costa Rica. Sounds like a good fit for locals and tourists? Just Brainstorming, It wouldn't take much to finance a small plane, and build out a nice drop zone. Any thoughts?

Well, except for the rain 8 months a year with constant overcast that would prohibit skydiving, might be a good idea. Check out the on-time arrivals for SJO. That'll give you an idea how the weather during the rainy season affects air traffic and even more so, skydiving.
In the dry season, probably be a good idea and I'd sure like to try it!

well, that definitely answers my question. didn't think of that, I knew there had to be a reason for not having skydiving available for the tourists. thanks adam

You can do skydiving in Costa Rica, I don't know of any tour company maybe you have to charter a plane. Like 1.5 years ago there was an incident where at least one tourist lost his life skydiving and another one was found in the ocean after a long search.
