Anyone else in San Jose or San Pedro getting really slow speeds lately? Seems like for the past 24 hours surfing the web is horrendously slow, and forget about uploading or downloading anything. It is the same for my hard-wired connection (which I pay for myself) as it is with the free wifi they provide at my apartment. When I go to Amnet to test my DL/UL speeds, I get 0/0.

I have been having that problem intermittently both with hard wire connected desktop and laptop using a WiFi connection the past few weeks. When I try to do a speed test the connection times out.

I do not have AMNET my service is RACSA. Am thinking about switching to ICE ADSL service.

Amnet has been pretty good the last three months since I got my own service. I got tired of the free internet the apartamentos provided and the bullshit excuses they always had for service being slow or non-existent. It was usually the router needing to be rebooted, and I could see the router and the lights were off, but you can't get to it since it's in a cage.

So I got my own service and in three months, only two days of slow/no internet. That's very similar to my experience with comcast and AT&T Uverse in the USA.

Connection speeds are much better today, but still not up to par. I'm getting 2-300 mpbs on the download, but I usually get 4-500. Still much better than Friday or Saturday though.
