Try joining www.welovecostarica.com (it's free I believe). In their discussion forums there are many related questions about builders...contractors..etc. and many of the members seem to be from the Atenas/Grecia area. This is a "legit" website targeted to ex-pats living in CR.

In my experience "We Love Costa Rica" while providing some useful information is more of a site devoted to trying to sell real estate by the owner of the site then providing day to day information.

I think you will get much more useful unbiased information and help in answering questions you might have concerning living and obtaining services in Costa Rica by joining the Yahoo group "Costa Rica Living". I have used CRL to get recommendations for various services and have always gotten several good leads on any service I asked about.

I belong to both We Love and CRL and find much better info on CRL. Join both and take any info you get from either that helps you out.

Check out this guy. I used him for some work on my house in Grecia a couple of years ago. Great work, not cheap.
