I am going on a visa run next week to Panama and am wondering if anyone knows if my Kolbi prepaid sim will work in Panama City for calls within Panama, back to CR and/or to the US?

If not, is it possible to purchase a sim card in Panama that I can use for these calls?

Any info will be much appreciated.

Panama is eons ahead of Costa Rica in cell phone service and number of suppliers so I am sure their are competitors to the company that the link describes.

It may work to receive sms from CR but not to reply or to make calls. My not pre paid CR Sim does receive sms´s from CR.

Yes, you can purchase another pre paid from Mas Movil or any other supplier to make your local and international calls.
