My dad has a small finca near San Vito CR. Theres not much action there, but he tells me San Isidro does have some ticas to party with.

I made a short stop there on my way back to SJ a few years back and saw gringos hanging out in the town center and what seemed like available chicas pro/non-pro on the prowl.

I am planning on retirement soon and San Vito would be very economical for me. Since San Isidro is around 2 hours by car to San Vito, the possibilty of taking care of my chica needs in San Isidro does encourage this possibilty.

Can anyone provide first hand intel on the possible action there ? Is San Isidro considerably safer than SJ ?

Thanks

There's several San Isidro's, but assuming de General in the mountains to the South, an hour East of Dominical, nice town, very safe, beautiful, gorgeous women, very tough to find desirable P4P, but I did see a post a while back that named one place, not very favorably, but search it. I was in San Isidro alot 8 years ago for 4 years off and on. Maybe things changed. Even the Tico's comment on the beauties there, and the lack of men, for some reason droves and droves of them are in New Jersey.

My dad tells me a Gringo buddy of his comes up from San Vito to San Isidro de General a couple times of month for some action there.

I just wanted confimation. I agree, I saw some beautiful Ticas there about 5 years ago.

There's a German strain in alot of them, you see a fair amount of blond's, my chica's name was Ingrid, her sister was Heidi, and her other sister had a German name I forget. What always amazed me about that place was how many of them looked the same. Small gene pool I guess.

Even if you don't get lucky, you'll enjoy this little city, bigger than a town, and take the 45 min ride downhill to the beach at Dominical, the most beautiful mountain valley views I have enjoyed in my life. Stunning.

Bar Mexicano on the outrskirts of town has a handful of extraneras who work there. I visited twice, but did not see any worth picking. La Casacada in centro is usually packed with Perez Zeledon's finest looking young ladies, but don't expect to get lucky. Perez Zeledon is a conservative region, so there is not much p4p. There are plenty of beautiful women, but you should be prepared to take your time in getting to know them. Bar Bahia in the central bus station has small groups of girls who hang out there during mid-day and after working hours. Althrough San Isidro is not overrun with gringos, most of them hang out at the bar/restaurant of Hotel Chirripo in the center of town.

San Vito is an interesting spot. It was settled by Italian immigrants shortly after WWII. The people speak a dialect of Spanish with Italian influence. There are lots of cute women, but no "action" or nightspots to speak of. It's a quaint little agricultural center, and the largest employer appears to be a lumber mill on the outskirts of town. The area around San Vito is beautiful, and it would be an idyllic spot to retire with a favorita. The drive from San Vito to Ciudad Neilly along the southern edge of the Talamanca Mountains is breathtaking... it's a bird's eye view into Panama.

BlueDevel:

You know CR pretty well. I was told San Vito was named after Italian Admiral that brought the Italians to this area after WWII.

Thanks for the info. I not some much looking for P4P, and I think I have some time. I plan to retire and spend time in CR and Florida.

I wonder if I still have enough game for a few of these ladies, I speak spanish pretty good and I in resonable shape for my age 61.

Anyway thanks for the info.

Before I "discovered" Colombia, I did my fair share of exploring Costa Rica.

In the center of San Vito, there is a small square called Parque de la Amistad, with a statue of two K*ds under an umbrella, symbolizing the friendship that existed between the two countries.

Yes, once you find a place where you feel a degree of comfort, you can take your time networking, making friends and meeting women. Your ability to speak Spanish will be very helpful in these remote, non-gulch areas.

I too have a foundness for Colombia, 10 years ago, I was doing 3 trips a year to Cali/Bogata.

I plan to take trips to Med. once I retire. I figure I can drive to David and catch a plane to Med. if I at the farm in San Vito.

I would certainly benefit from your experience in Colombia as well.

Thanks again.

I have a friend that lives in San Isidro. He has a good line up of girls BUT he says they are extremely discreet in that area. Nothing in public and no places known for hang outs.

I spent several weeks in Perez Zeledon, and I found the girls to be friendly, but as you said, "discreet." This is a very religious, conservative area, where a standard gulch monger may feel out of place.
