I know each girl negotiates her own price but if you had to think of averaging them all what is it normally.

supply and demand and quality of the girl come in to play...

typically, most girls will ask $100, you say $80 and they are usually willing at that price

if it is really slow, a lot of girls will jump at a $50-$60 offer

if she is really hot, she is probably less willing to negotiate, expect to pay the cien

'Averaging' really means nothing. Think about it. If you need tires, you can check all the tire places for pricing, but 'averaging' the price makes no sense. You are going to pay someone's price without regard to any 'average'.

Cien is the starting point of negotiations, *if* you ask them for a price. Some guys (like me) don't ask, but make an offer. That offer is based upon what is in my eye, and the services I have mentioned to her.

Then, we haggle. :mrgreen:

When they ask for $100, I counter with $60, some walk away but the ones that stay, counter with $80. This has worked all but 2X, and those 2 i really wanted!!. Both at the cocal & both were worth the $100!!!

I always negotiate for minimum 2 hours or all night (TLN). Last 3 trips to San Jose, my range was $60-$80 for two hours (yep, for 2 hours, not one) and $150-$200 TLN, not including propina or taxi. I pay in colones, though I got into a small beef about the exchange rate with one provider because her quote was in dollars :D

Some are smart. They know that dollars equals more colones, but I don't think they understand why. Only 1 chica (Liz) ever insisted on quoting and receiving USD.

I always quote in local currency, and don't get upset if they edge up the price to compensate for the currency offset.

I negotiated when I was there in May. One I paid more because I liked her better. I just wanted to make sure to be in the ball park.

I think this is the only part that I don't quite understand correctly. The girl will want cien and if I like her I'll pay them, and I assume cien is $100 dollars, not colones. So what if I only have colones? Pull out my phone and do the exchange rate and give her that? 100 colones is like $190 bucks so no way I'm paying that much.

Roger that, I won't pay until after. I dont plan on paying all the girls cien but if she's a 8 and a half or higher, sure. I guess once I'm there I'll see how it goes, but my plan is to hit the mp during the day for the price and quality and maybe 3 or 4 from HDR or SL for a few hours' session.

Good for you...guess the exchange rate is favoring the strong greenback! Now don't go lose it all in games of chance at Croc's . Spend it with the chicas instead :D

hah, I had the opposite happen. I speak spanish fluently (first langauge) and I was talking to this little nica girl at the DL last year. Anyhow, we started talking and I asked how much and she said "40" (meaning 40k colones) and I thought she meant dollars. I really let her have it back at the Morazan, and when I gave her the $40 USD, she looked at me and asked how much that was in colones, and then we both had a good laugh and I had to pay the rest :P

For those of us who have been called frugal or worse, last time I was there I would see some morning girls as early as 6am in the small bar area. To my surprise there often were many cuties and some 18-22 year olds looking rather fresh as well as some older more experienced ones, many were happy with $50 for those early hours, these girls were excellent and could easily fetch $80 or more if they worked the evening, and none of them rushed me. Since there were so few guys that early looking for love, it appeared to me when I took interest in one she was very receptive and sweet, not jaded at all. I think the quiet non crowded atmosphere also added to the more relaxed attitude. All of the ones I spent time with were young mothers with no jobs and papi m I a and had just dropped the K*D off at school or her mother was watching them, seems like they found a nice n itch for themselves and if they got home with $50 to $100 cash for the day, not a bad t I c a haul... :D
