Looking for any advice or words of wisdom!! Planning a trip to Jaco going solo! I have been in Jaco before but always with a friend! He is much more experienced and leaned on him heavily I am more of a novice!! I like Jaco because of the more laid back environment with the small town and beach! Will stay at the Cocal had a great time there last October! Looking for any advice for a safe and fun trip |

I think your post would do better in another forum, like the Newbi section - there is lots of info on Jaco, but click below to read a recent thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=45092&p=519278#p519278 PS If you are looking to monger, San Jose has many more options, although I'd be the first to say it not the most beautiful place If you are staying at the Cocal, you will be at "ground zero" Also check out the re opened Beatle Bar |

Assuming that you are the somewhat outgoing type you should be able to befriend some fellow travelers around the pool / bar area. During the day I always found friendly people in that area. Clarittas on the north end of town tended to attract expats as well. |
