I have a recommendation for all you dudes coming to Costa Rica looking for girlfriends. NOT!!! Don't do it. In the end, these girls are all hookers and their main goal is to get as much out of you as possible. Non of these girls are girlfriend or wife material. If you believe that, then, I have oceanfront property to sell you in Missouri. They are all sluts-- thats it. Go have fun, get away from your girlfriend or wife from back in the USA, of course, if you have a wife or girlfriend. From my observation, lots of lonely dudes in CR. In the end, these girls don't love you; they want your money and will get it one way or the other. Once you board the plane back to USA, she is banging another dude. THATS THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!!

Wow Maverick,
I am sorry to hear your having such a hard time finding the woman of your dreams. I guess I was just lucky to run into Maria at the Del Rey on my first visit. She had never been there before that night we met. She wouldn't have been there then, but she had fallen on hard times due to her no good boyfriend who stole all her money and her XBox. She had no one to turn to and fortunately for both of us we found each other that first night.

We had 4 wonderful nights together and love bloomed so quickly. I was happy to buy her food and groceries to get her going. We found a little love nest not far from Bario Ammon and boy did we break that bed in. It was no problem when she requested my help at the bank. We were able to get all those bad checks taken care of and it pleased me to add a few hundred dollars to her account to keep her in the black and also (of course) save herself for me when I come back to see her soon.

I am only sorry, Maverick, that you could not have been so lucky. So many of the other crt brothers that I met over at the SL had had very similar experiences and they all looked so happy and relaxed. I hope you find the woman of your dreams and come to realize that most of these girls are not sluts but more like sweet ladies that have fallen on hard times and are so grateful to us generous Norte Americanos who come down to help them through their hard times.

Your cynical reply to my post did not go unnoticed Maverick. You just don't know my Maria. She would never scam me, it's love man, true love. She wrote to me via e-mail just today to say how much she missed me. Not one mention of money despite the fact that her 73 year old grandmother is in hospital with pneumonia.

Of course I will send a few bucks her way just to help out a little, despite being on a fixed income. Do they have Western Union down there or should I just giver her my atm card number and let her take what she needs?

I pray you will meet a lady as sweet as my Maria soon Maverick. Then and only then will you understand the true nature of the ladies from CR.

Man, please tell me you haven't fallen for a hooker at the Del Rey. Myself, I only go to play; I am not looking for a girlfriend, fiance or wife especially not one who is a hooker. I have game and have many girlfriends ie nurses in the USA, given the fact, I am a very attractive healthcare professional. To get a normal girl anywhere in this world, you must have GAME, PERIOD. In Costa Rica, I only go to play the field, party with friends and ticas remain in CR without an after thought. My next destination to party like an animal is Sosua, DR. Costa Rica is overrated and overpriced. I have always done well there and pay only 50 bucks to the girls. Paying 100 bucks is like paying the sticker price for a new car. Damn, I can't believe how many desperate guys fall for scamming hookers who are banging another gringo or tico once you board the plane. Come on dude, San Jose is fantasy not reality. DAMN, GIVE ME A BREAK! I see guys like you all the time at the Del Rey-- is your game that bad. LMFAO.

Does that mean if i am paying $60.00 and he is not paying $20.00 he is being ripped off? My best friend, of over fifty years, is a millionaire. Makes a very high six figure income yearly, new 704IL every year, twin engine Cessna, bla, bla, bla............. (I wouldn't trade places with him though). For him $ 100 is like $10 to me (phucker). Why is it wrong for him to pay $100, which is chump change to him when he makes makes at least 80% more per year than I do? For his income, I should be paying $10 (or less), or I am over paying?

I am a fat old dude, with little to no "game" (as most would describe it). What is the definition of "game"? Is that a determination of ones happiness? In my youth I had what I considered "game". I was phucking 2-3 women a day, and fortunately due to the times, was not paying for it, nor was I taking them out (the early 70's were the greatest). The sad fact is I was not really happy.

I have seen a number of men who thought they had "game", but were very unhappy. I have also seen a number of men who had no "game", but were very happy. Everyone should feel good about who they are, if not change that thought and become whatever it is that will make you happy.

Now, to me, "game" means being really happy with who I am. When I am that, no one can touch my inner psyche, nor do I want to "cast stones" towards other. When I am truly happy within myself, that is all the "game" I need.

As always feel free to flame away, I have my asbestos shorts on today.

Game in the modern sense (or for the purpose as its reference on this board), referes to having a way with women...Something more natural instead of defacto like money or "paying for it"..


To that end, I don't think guys go looking for girlfriends or have to be warned about tales of the heart. I think what happens is chicas will find a guy she knows likes her (like that), throw him a bone once in a while, trick him into thinking she's sincere and vuala! But I digress....
