I have brought this topic up on various occasions with no real response. But since this is a open foroum and there might be someone interested, I am going to bring up again. A few days ago, I had some cosmetic surgery done to may face ($20K) worth to be exact. I just got tired of looking a my jowls, turkey neck, sunken lower eyes and excess skin coverng my upper eye lids. These are all normal things that occur to poeple after they reach 55+, you young studs out there will see what I mean when it's you turn. and trust me, you won't like looking at it either.
Does this mean, I think I am going to CR and knocking out every chica I see with a freebee, I don't think so. But I think it does man i will feel better about myself.

I try to keep my body in good shape as well as my personal gromming. So this is just the next step in making myself as good as I can be.

Anyway, for those that are interested, I will keep you posted.

No, I did not do it in CR. I did talk to a docter in CR on my last trip and he said he could do it for $5K. Tha CR doctor worked on my Dad and did a good job. I just felt I found a good guy here in San Jose California that I could trust. He and I clicked and really felt I could trust him to do a good job. BTW: I am only 2.5 days post op, so i look pretty beat up right now. He worked on me for 9.5 hours on Friday from 7 AM till 5 PM. I had upper and lower eyes done, fat transplants below the eyes, chin muscle tie and lypo and a mid face lift. He took the bandages off to show my neck today and it hasn't looked like that since I was 30. (I am 61 years young).

I think the doctor in CR would have done a good job, but the attention to detail and professionallisim he and his staff demonstrated was beyond execellent.

The verdict is still not out yet, my head is swollen like a basketball, but I feel good about my decision so far.

Hey that's great ,it's all about you my friend ,if it makes you feel better about yourself then that's what counts . A few years ago i spent 4500 on one of those Bosley type hair transplants they pull a strip of hair from the back and harvest the follicles and plant them on my bald spot . Personally I feel it was a waste of time but I think it covered the bald spot alot . Next I'll do lasic surgery I'm -350 near sighted and wear glasses at work and driving ,it definitely affects the way people "see me" good luck keep us posted .

It's too early to be specific but conservative estimates suggest I should be turning back the clock around 10 years. But it's not about that, it's about looking in the mirror and seeing someone I recognize. There's no way a I can put a pricetag on that. But I am sure it's worth $20K+.

Day 5, of my rejuevenation. Still pretty swollen, epeciailly the eyes. Even so, turkey neck and jowls are a thing of the past. Neck, Jowls (there are none) and Jaw line, look like they did 20+ years ago.
Doing the eat, sleep, toilet routine until Friday when the stiches come out.

I am weak, tired and sore, but excited about the new me that is immersing.

Hell, this might be the best $20K, I ever spent...

What was the pain like? I know two women that bitched like hell about the pain and one went to the ER for pain control.

Since you didn't mention it, I was wondering if it bothered you or you are just taking it. BTW, stay out of the sun. Your scars will show for a very long time at even mild exposure. Don't trust sunscreen, why blow $20K just for some sun exposure?

Pain is/was signiicant. This Surgeon did alot of cutting, pullin, tieing, and stuff I an not even going to ask about on me for 9.5 hours. I went thru all the percocet (40 pills) and valium they gave me. Now, (After 4 days) I am Ok with just Ibupropen. Good news is I had no appetite for 5 days so I lost 7 lbs, doctor said I need to eat to keep up my strength (what strenght?). But I am not dumb enough to pass up an opportunity to loose wieght.

This is day 6, 9 AM, (Surgery started 8 AM Friday) I am still pretty swollen everywhere but my eyeballs.

It's a wait and see game now, when the swelling comes down, I'll get a good idea of what I'm gonna look like.

Good idea about staying out the Sun. Been toying with the idea of going out an scaring some local K*ds to raise my spirits.

Hey Rover, are you the nice guy from Beaumont Texas, you told me I didnt need the surgery ?

Congrats! (or maybe we should wait til we see the final outcome, hate to jinx it)
Hope you keep us posted on the progress. Cosmetic surgery is something I think alot of us "older" gringos wonder about. Even if we don't post or say it.

I am a nice guy, but not from Beaumont, TX. I am glad to hear you are making it through. I didn't know if the doc gave you the sun speech, but stay out or your skin will suffer. Buy a wide brim hat too!

It was getting to the point that it bothered me everytime I saw myself in a mirror or a reflection. Nothing wrong with getting older, believe it or not I am OK with aging. I just don't like seeing the "turkey" neck and/or double/triple chin or the hanging jowls, and the upper eyelids that cover your eyes. I always looked like I was tired or angry even when I wasn't.

Not sure the final results will meet all my expectations, but Jowls, Turkey neck, droopy upper eyelids and puffy hollow under eyes are defininetly gone. Yahoo !

I will post some before after shots when the Doc gives them to me.

BTW: Thanks for the feedback, I kinda figure theres a few members out there interested in how this goes.

PS: Stitches (over 50 of them of every variety) come out Firday.
