ok I've been down and bought me plenty of pu*sy. Even got lucky with a few non pro intoxicated ticas.

I've been thinking about tracking myself down a nice non pro girl to get to know. Now I already know what clubs to go to. But most of those girls are kinda party crazy and frankily I know those places get dangerous for ticos and gringo alike.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has any tips to find a more ...well normal tica. Not a party girl... not a pro. I don't know if I should hit up the businesses and cafes around the colleges or what. I'm in my mid 20s my spanish is still fairly poor (but I'm learning fast).

Any thoughts or great areas to find the tica next door type? Don't get me wrong I like to go out, but I need someone balanced.

Forget the novia for now? Just keep having fun with the putas and the borrachas, and come back in around 20 years or more. Then we'll talk about it seriously.

You don't know the lucky you are, being young in the internet era. Don't throw it overboard or you'll be sorry. Did you ever watch "Married With Ch*ldren"? If you haven't, I advice you to watch the reruns. That's pretty close to what happens once you (sheepishly) say "I Do". Well, that ball starts rolling the moment we start looking for the "nice girl".

I have said this before and will say it one more time, if you do not live in Costa Rica, do not try to have a girlfriend here.

If you want a monogamous relationship, long distance with a language barrier is a very poor bet, regardless of whether she's a non pro or a pro.

If you don't want a monogamous relationship, you're options are pretty much what you've done so far... party girls and pros.

i agree Bilko. i can set aside a lot of time to be in CR (and do my work down there). But there are times I've got to be in the USA. I'm working on the language barrier but that brings me to another point. I'd highly prefer a girl who is learning in school or already knows english. I know they teach it all over down there. I think girls like that... outside the industry can be found.

I'm trying to set it up so in the future I can spend more time in CR than in the USA. The thought being to be in CR on and off around 8 months out of the year. LOL I've seriously be considering this. Moving out of my apartment and into my bros basement (so he can watch my crap when I'm gone... plus no rent).

I know who Al Bundy is. I've seen happily married couples and miserable ones. To suggest all are miserable would be just as insane as to say all are happy. I understand this board is all about paying for sex (which is great... love doing it)... but I'm not willing to hate on all with g/fs and wives out there.

I'm just going to say it like it is - don't waste your time. In your mid-20s??? come down for a good blow-job or a good lay... nothing more. I'm not a senior citizen, but I'm not a youngster, and I can say for certain that the women down here will drag you down to a low that you can't imagine. They are tough bitches, actresses, liers or just too plain immature to do more than snap bubble gum.

I know a guy at my gym about your age. HE LIVES HERE. He also wants that girl next door and he's been trying for years. That whole concept just doesn't exist. He goes from one whore to the other. And, these are considered upper class chicas!!!! They find out he doesn't have much money... then they dump him. He's a real depression case.

There are guys on the board and such that think they are saints and martyrs. If you want something more like that, then go to asia. Most working women down here are pure latin trash. Nothing better. Many that don't work for sex, have a TON of other issues that you don't want to deal with.

The poor girls will use you until they feel your money or patience is totally spent.. After you dump them, they will prank call you. They might threaten you. And, they will probably crawl back for forgiveness. Turn them away like the plague.

The less than poor girls (upper class ticas or whatever you want to call them) will use you until they find your "usefullness" is over.

Wrap your rascal and bang chicas like crazy. Be it hookers or just plain drunk chicas. Just don't call them for a second date. Read that last sentence twice. And, if you feel like calling them for a second date, just go out and hang a pork chop around your neck and wait. Like fishing its only a matter time.

I would suggest getting lucky finding a woman whos only interested in your values.She has to want similar things that you desire.Also ,I would say,may sure she speaks half -way descent English.That way when the real issue comes up,you and her can speak your mind.No barrier between what direction you want the relationship should go.

Yea , I would suggest to find an honest wingman(local), who can take you to the Bars, amd Clubs out side the Touristy frequented places. There are non pro woman who go out to the Tico Bars, and Clubs during the week(Mon- Thur).Several of these places have themes nites .Sort of like Tuesday is Karaoke and Wednesday is Reggaeton nite.Many available ordinary Ticas. But as the prior says, they are not Heavens Angels.Some have issues if not some Drama.
Well Good Luck 'gain,and use common sense, these places are 90 percent Locals(Ticos)and you dont want to standout as a Single ,Rich Gringo.....

Too much looking for that girl next door blinds your vision and that nice, steamy pile of poopy you step in is hard to remove from the grooves of your gyms shoes. I am 43 and a guy in his 20's should be looking to generate his wealth. Go play, have fun. If it is meant to be you will run across her. Get far away from the gulch. Go to supermarkets, malls, markets, anywhere you run into chicas in their day to day routine. The upcoming festivals around the holidays will be full of chicas. Try to find one that hasn't been too exposed to gringos and the gringo lifestyle. Personally, I'm gonna venture to some smaller areas that I haven't visited before after the new year. There is a new disco in Orotina, that I am thinking could be a gold mine.

Great advice Chi_trekker.

We see many comments about how latinas are far superior to gringas but I've also seen guys dragged through the wringer chasing the novia/esposa fantasy. Looks to me the only real advantages are:
1) you can get dates with hotter/younger women in Latin America, and
2) once in a relationship they will still screw you even while she's still pissed off from the daily argument and drama. :lol:
