Post subject: | Question regarding falling in love with a working girl |
Having traveled to CR for the past 6 years, meeting and experiencing both pro and non pros I find myself drawn to, having feelings for and to some degree loving a particular working girl whom I have been seeing for about 2 years now. I am married so do not have the luxury of really having a relationship outside my marriage and never thought I would feel the way I do but in the past year, prior to and after each trip, I find myself constantly thinking of and wishing I were back there with this "novia". It was always my intention to get to CR and party with my buddies and enjoy as many "fruits of the vacation" as I could. This worked for a while and suddenly things took a turn and I began to "care". This particular girl has asked me to leave my wife, I declined. She promised me she would leave the bus. if I would only commit to her, I doubt this. She has shed endless tears during my visits either when I have been caught "romancing" another chica or getting ready to leave or simply after an intimate session. I still find time for other "fruits" during each trip, usually while my chica is taking care of her daughter but I think I do this to prove to myself that I don't have genuine feelings for this "novia" which I obviously do. I find that the desire for this chica is strongest right after I return home. Once i'm home, I began to search for a quick return flight to continue this relationship. However, I find that as time goes by, if I don't return right away, although I still have these feelings they are not quite as strong. My theoretical solution is 2 parts: 1st-Have no contact with the chica for the 1st month or so upon return to the states. 2nd-Plan another trip to a different destination to enjoy the "fruits" of that destination. I guess i'm looking for ideas because i'm not sure how this plan will turn out. I've just incorporated part 1, I am not going to respond to e-mails or calls, nor will I write or make calls for at least 1 month. Secondly, I've just booked a trip to Sosua, Dominican Republic with some buddies to see whether or not I can restart the excitement of the "chase". If anyone has any experience with a similar dilema, please comment with what works or worked for you. Any thoughts regarding my issue would be appreciated. Thanks guys, look forward to your thoughts and suggestions. Jac |

You'll get many responses and I'm sure plenty of links to working girl romances gone wrong. Having never been in your shoes I'll refrain from giving advice. I'm sure you'll be told to forget her cold turkey, because all that can happen now is bad You'll also get told that once you find another destination you'll gain perspective and understand why you want to visit working girls You'll probably be told that only weak men fall in love with working girls, although I'm positive yours is different And you'll liekly be told that the only thing worse is becoming a WU novio which happens if she says she's quitting work which usually lasts a week tops. I really don't want to be negative, I'm just summarizing many things we've seen in the threads like this one. I've met some outstanding working girls in my time and I'm very happy to have never fallen in love with one. I consider myself lucky, I can't deal with that and I pray that every time I hook up that I keep it all in perspective. |

I wish you luck in what your decision is in regards to your CR friend. I just think that with the scenario you gave it would be impossible for anything more to come from it. Unless of course you get a divorce, but even then……….. Well, good luck. ![]() |

At least you are recognizing the symptoms and it is only up to YOU how this will develop. Since you are marry, you have a higher mountain to climb than most guys that have tried and we do not have to tell you about their experiences. It would take a lot of luck, karma and work for this to work. Personally, I wouldn’t have the energy level to even get started on getting a divorce, etc, etc. it would be a very long and dark tunnel before you will see any light and the question begs to be ask; Will the chica wait for you during this long dark period in your life? I think that the plan that you have lay out hopefully will get her out of your system. Only you will know that for sure. As long as you feel anything for her, do not contact her nor visit CR. Good Luck. |

My antidote for any situation that involves falling in love with a hooker is to do a search on Rolltide and read every post he wrote or that was written about him. If that does not cure you of your puppy love, then by all means, plunge ahead. ![]() ![]() |

![]() But be careful...you COULD fall in love there too... ![]() Been with the Spratt for several years...living with her family on and off for the last two years. And all I will say is that there are some very good times and then there are some very bad times See I learned a long time ago that it was more then I bargained for and I excepted it.. Just like Hurricanes... But I will say...You'll need more than money to make it work. Especially living in the Dominican or Costa Rica Ah Life under the Mango Tree...with the chickens and pigs First ya'll need lots of patients and understanding. Second, ya'll need to forget home. Home is where she lives, and that is not the States. Then there are all the Ch*ldren...LOTS OF Ch*ldren And everyone of em needs/ wants food & shoes... Groceries, clothing, electric, rent, cars & moto-concho payments Ya know...Life itself.... Now for the job You'll need that too...but ya better be ready to Hablo Spanish and only Spanish ... because you cannot live on pescado & plantains' even though I tried ... I've laid tile, been a mud-man on a stucco crew, labored on job sites, driven dump trucks in the mines, hustled gasoline on the street, and ran a jitney putting up with eco-tourism Basically you become the lifeboats for all involved...Mother- father- sister & cousin So how do you survive.... By keeping both your wallet and your mouth shut... Never promise anything and never open your wallet freely And that's the Truth |

Thanks fellas, Everything said I knew but I just wanted to hear it from the "boys in the hood". Funny thing is, my wife doesn't bust my balls about anything, still looks great after 22 years, enjoys sex and contributes financially. Not to mention she's a Colombiana and who I met in High School. So what's my issue? It's just that, "Variety is the only true aphrodesiac"! So why am I caught up with this one chica? Good question, I have what I want at home, I don't need that on vacation. SO,,,,,,,SOSUA here I come in Oct! Won't be back in CR til January. Thanks again guys, Pura Vida |

I for one am amazed that so many guys can continue in loveless relationships and this is regardless of wether they chose to monger or remain faithful to their spouse. Yes divorce is expensive and there is a damn good reason that it is expensive..........BECAUSE IT IS WORTH IT ! Personally I know that I could not remain married and mongering. This is not a condemnation of those of you in that particular situation I just know that it would not work for me. I have came close to marriage twice in the last 8 years and just could not bring myself to pull the trigger. The last with a sweet Paisa not in the business and the main reason I failed to go all the way was because on deep contemplation I was not ready to give up my traveling and wild ways. Maybe one day but not anytime in the near future. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree but at the same time you need to think the situation through ![]() Is it worth giving up what you already have with your lady ![]() Are you going to be better off by doing so ![]() Is this chica really worth giving everything away ![]() Can you do it financially ![]() I was burned by following my heart, even though my mind said don't do it. It was a decision I made and I would most likely do it again but I learned from the experience what to change. YOU know yourself better than any one. Think carefully ![]() Emotions always cloud our judgment, especially when it comes to the heart. If you believe you are making the correct decision, follow through on that decision, and bear the consequences of that decision, right or wrong, you are being true to yourself and that is the most important thing. Regardless of what others say ![]() ![]() ![]() Buena Suerta: Good Luck |

How big a gambler are you? Like to take risks? Probably 95% of those relationships fail. Pretty low odds for the Gringo. |
