Personally, and I know I have said this before, I think that a marriage between a hooker and a monger have about much chance as a fart in a windstorm. In the past I tried and tried to talk sense or write sense to these misguided mongers, but inevitably, they all ignore the advice and plunge ahead only for it to go up in flames like a bag of shit doused in gasoline and placed upon the front porch of life. Sometimes, they are even courteous enough to give us a play by play as they get their 3rd degree burns. I read about a lot of other guys trying to talk sense to the fools, but I was really intrigued the other day when the new member JOsie, told someone to get out of the way as they want to see the train wreck. So, now after 4 years of trying to talk sense to these would be Romeos, I resign and state that I would rather just watch the train wreck. So I was just curious, which side are you all on? Try to save the fool from himself, or would you rather watch the ambulance arrive and cart the bodies away? |

It does make for great reading. We usually have one every quarter or so. Then the 8 pages of I told you so, I feel your pain, thanks for sharing brother make it all worth while. The $99 lifetime membership is worth it just to read the posts.

Every trip I met a guy or two taking chicas out to dinner and buying gifts like its going out of style. I try to explain paying prices and most people are too rich and dont care what I say because I am younger. I read on this board and many others per day and know the basic routines for prices and services. I haver traveled to Costa Rica 3 time, Panama and MDE twice not including my europe trips. I have learned alot and know to pay the minimal for the best service. What I pay usually gets me a GFE and alot more then the last guy who paid top dollar. All girls in MDE tell me they dont take this little ammount but since I am good looking and speak spanish they will do it. I will say there are at least one to two people paying what ever the chica wants. Each trip I take I seen this in Costa Rica too many times and also panama and MDE at the Mansion Quit paying what they ask and set the price like your the boss which you are. I tell all all chicas "voy a pagar cien mil por dos horas/dos leches" in colombia that equals $25 per hour |

Guys, we will never understand the mentality of the “Capt-Save-A-Ho†but you do have to admire their hard work. Between sending money to CR and trying to get visas for their novias, it got to be exhausting. Plus, the daily calls and trying to check on their novias. I’m already exhausted just writing about it.  One thing that I’m going to modify on my next trip in June 11 is to show more affection and play the “Capt-Save-A-Ho†sickness. I bet we can get some extra mileage out of the chicas.
BTW – I brought the chairs, who is bringing the beer?

You have to let people choose thier own path. I do not know much about relationships between pro ticas and mongers. I have several amigas that work in mp's and a few that occasionally work DR or KL.I know more about the relationships between pros and mongers in SEA and on my home turf, Tijuana. I can think of a hundred or so very successful relationships between former pros from LOS and mongers. With a little effort, probably find thousands. In TJ many of the mongers living there end up having a live in former bargirl novia. The majority are quite happy.And the relationships are long lasting. Many are going on year 6 or more very successfully. Better than your average US couple. Maybe ticas do not domesticate as well? |

Yep. Just about the same odds as trying to marry any other woman for most guys. Marriage is not for guys. It was invented by women for women. In my opinion, anybody who is still trying for "happily ever after" is living a fantasy. With that said, I absolutely agree that trying to maintain a "relationship" with a woman in Latin America while living in the US is pure masochism only appropriate for guys who love to really feel the burn. I'll watch the fire... |

In the past four years, I've seen many men taken down by their princess, special novia, etc. I've only seen one relationship end anywhere near civil. The rest were complete train wrecks. In many cases, they didn't even understand what kind of a train wreck they were in. They were still puppy in love and heartbroken. She was back to hooking. I don't hangout much in the gulch anymore, but everytime I go, there's a new guy with glazed eyes, a big smile and drool coming out of the corner of his mouth. I hear - I finally met my dream girl. I used to try to help, but am seriously just getting tired of it. For those who are informed, I'll sitback and watch with some popcorn. For those who haven't.... I'm sorry... but I don't have any more energy to spend on this. |

Pac, Respectfully, I have noticed there is a recurrent theme in your posts that basically voices the opinion that a man is doomed either way in a long term relationship with a woman regardless of if she is a HDR puta or is a "regular" chica who has never participated in P4P. I have to take exception with this. No doubt the statistics for marriage are dismal. I have been down the divorce road before too, as many of you have and even under the best of circumstances there is no certainty of long term success. Still for myself, I would rather try. And in doing this I try to think smart and do things that I feel can better tilt the odds in my favor. Since I love latinas the one big thing I can do as a frequent C & S America traveler is to look for a good girl in the right places. When a man looking for a serious relationship decides to do this he does not look for his ladylove in the arena of P4P. I have a few other thoughts on things you can do to help increase the odds but I will not go into those. The bottom line of what I am saying is I just do not believe you can honestly give a long term relationship with a HDR/KL/MP chica the same odds as those you would with a regular, honorable non P4P chica ( yes, Im using that honorable word again !). Especially when you consider all the issues that come along with these P4P chicas. Also I strongly believe there are certain areas of Latin America where the culture and regional differences make for better hunting for a future esposa. JMHO ! Rainman, I have also been married before..twice. Once to a beautiful girl from my hometown who refused to move with my career to NoDak. Couldn't blame her. Second to a gorgeous little Farrah Faucet clone from Bismark. Total time in committed relationships: 22 months. I have always had a great time with the ladies and only started P4p in my mid-fifities when the under 35 crowd became more effort than I want to expend. As for my take on marriage: - Marriage is a great institution for making and raising offspring. It was designed to continue to provide for the woman and spawn after the old man is gone. It works well in that mode but really provides nothing positive for the man except a ready receptacle for his paycheck, IMHO. - Look at the statistics. Something like 65+% of marriages end in divorce. Of those who remain married, a large percentage say they are there for the spawn, if not for them the men would move on. Who knows how many have just given up on their lives and live each day in their own private "yes, dear" hell? - If one is masochistic enough to buy into the whole "'til death do us part" scam, why is marrying a puta any different than marrying some chica who has only phucked for dinner and movies or clothes or rent or that new car? They are still trading their fanny for finery and anyone who does not see that is deluding themselves, IMHO. - Yes, it is easy to convince yourself that she LOVES you. Try explaining that you are virtually penniless and she can expect to live on your SS check and whatever else you can scrape together, together. Guess what? You are not nearly as attractive as you thought. It's still all about the money, or less pragmatically, it is about your ability to provide for her. - Delude yourself if you must, but men get the hottest girl they can afford and women get the richest man they can attract. Why we must believe that it is about "love" is beyond me. My best friend for fourty years just finished his fifth marriage. He has spawn with three of them and has paid an average of $60,000 a year in Ch*ld support and vaginamony. He is a girl's dream: He "loves" them, marries them, has offspring with them and continues to pay the bills while they lay their fat asses on the couch eating Bonn Bonns and harassing him if their "payment" is late. The game is fixed but play if you must. I'll watch the fire and hang around to buy you a drink when you crash and, of course, to say "I told you so...".

Wow, thanks for the good wishes. Nice to know that you and CRT will be around provided I survive the inevitable plane crash ! FYI, my Paisita has visa in hand and arrives on Thursday. Provided she does not do anything new or different from how she has been thus far I will be tying the knot once again within the required 90 days after her arrival. I thank CRT for giving me the desire to travel to COL initially. I know it will not be easy, few great things rarely are. I was happily married and faithful for 10 years when I discovered my gringa wife in an affair with a serial adulteror (sp ?) . It devastated me and our son who chose to remain with me. For years I had no desire to give my heart to anyone for risk of having it hurt once again. Now I want more and what I want requires risk ! I understand this. I primarily post in this section because I feel that there are many who end up in CR ( many shortly after a divorce) looking for more than just sex. Having spent considerable time with both P4P and non P4P chicas I think I have just a tiny bit of info about the differences between them which IMHO is much more vast than what you believe it to be.
