Does anyone know if CR honors a Pre Nup.
Don't worry I ain't considering getting married
I'm just curious if anybody has any info on this topic.

I have no specific knowledge, but my guess is that the answer would be no. Costa Rica is very socialist and (often naively) makes laws to protect the less fortunate. My guess is that a pre-nup would be considered only to benefit the rich person, and screw the woman. |

Pre-nups are recognized in Costa Rica. I am not familiar with the protocols necessary to have them iron bound but would suspect that they follow the normal structure. 1. Both parties must have separate lawyers. 2. The lawyer of each party must be chosen by that party. 3. If they parties have diffrent languages the agreement must be in both languages. There are most likely more but those are ones that come to mind without some research. |

One monger told me you need to have the Prenups done in both countries, but he brought her home so maybe that makes a difference. No you got me wrong. I am now forever single. I was once married to a latina. Got married here in the states. I had a successful divorce thanks to a Pre Nup drafted in both English and Spanish. I have copies of said Pre Nup. Might like to offer said copies to fellow mongers who wish to take the "LEAP OF DOOM " Just fill names in the blanks, sign, and notarize. If things turn south *******( which they will) BINGO You get to keep all your shit

I bet you would be responisble for at least $5 million+ in saved assets over the first 10 year period.
