PARTY FAVORS IN JACO???? WHO SHOULD YOU STAY AWAY FROM? WHO CAN YOU HOPEFULLY TRUST?? CAN YOU BRING HOOKERS BACK TO YOUR PLACE OR DO YOU HAVE TO RENT A ROOM AT THE BAR? Sir, I'll help you in atonement for my other sins that I have committed in the past. 1. Search is your friend on this board. Please use it. 2. If you are using Party Favors as slang for drugs. No one will answer that as it is against board rules. 3. You can bring girls back to your if the hotel is chica friendly. Please check out the Hotels and Travel Section of the site to get a list of chica friendly hotels. 4. For the going rate. You will have that new gringo smell about you. Expect to pay $100. They will try for more since they expect you to be totally clueless. Speaking Spanish helps. 5. Why would you expect problems from cops? Act like you are a gentleman and you will be treated as such. If you act like some drunken gringo dick with an attitude, expect to have problems. 6. There are only a few bars in Jaco. You will be at the Beetle Bar 90% of the time and the girls only come out at night. So if you want day time fun, either arrange ahead of time or plan to order in-room porn. 7. I normally bring clothes with me from the US. I find them helpful. Condoms are nice but they only cover a small part of me. I would bring what you would normally bring to a beach. 8. Again, if you expect problems with the police, then you will find problems with the police. Really, the rule is don't be a dick and you should be fine. 9. Really, you should have posted this in the Newbie's Section. 10. For the love of all that is holy, turn off caps lock. |

jaco beach pretty dull place unless you love ocean. if you want real fun stay in Del Ray. |

Hey, welcome to CRT. Cops everywhere in Latin America seem to want discreet cash bribes if you get into trouble with them. The excuses they most often use are traffic stops, public drunkeness and most of all...party favors. Be careful. Search the following: Copacabana Canciones del Mar Condo Jaco Beatle Bar Nacho Daddy's Jaco's Tacos (good eats cheap) Pancho Villa's Bar Boheo (maybe spelled Bohio) - Sometimes daytime action. Any post by CRT member THird World Jaco is great because it's close to SJ. The beach kinda sucks. Deep sea fishing is available at a price. Jaco is fairly close to some nicer beaches; great if you've rented a car. HTH, Paul |
