BK , been away from the board & just now found out about you & K. When I was in town last month I thought something was up and I really missed hanging out with you.

When I tried to talk with K at the poker tournament and that didn't turn out so well I wondered what was up. Better times are ahead my friend and I look forward to seeing you next trip.

Just read the thread and I say BRAVO for recognizing you cant change something that is out of your hands and moving on. CR is one of the last places you should have chica drama.

This is not to say I don't blame you for giving it a try because you obviously have feelings for her. But good on you for realizing it just wont work and moving on. :)

I am alive and well. Working very hard these days and mostly hanging in Escazu. I live within walking distance of 15 restaurants and bars. I will start re-appearing in the usual places a little more over time.

As to the relationship, I relented and let her move back in for a while but have ended it for once and for all more recently. I am forcing myself to be a little selfish and just deal with the separation issues. At some point in life (I am 44) you start to wonder whether you should give up on some one who unconditionally loves you or just accept the day to day issues as part of the price. I have decided that I am better off alone, but may regret the decision later.

Prostoner is alive and well and I will let him decide what he wishes to share of his own trials and tribulations.

As to not posting as much, I have been busy and also not felt like I had much new to add lately. I still read most of which is published and even after two years living here find great value in the info and people I have met through CRT.

I think we should all realize that there are cycles to our involvement (GR had a good post about this a while back).

We also should realize that with as many members as we have you are not going to agree with everyone or like everyone and that is ok.

New guys should try to read first and then ask intelligent questions and veterans should try not to be dismissive and combative. For most things we discuss there are no black and white answers just a thousand shades of grey. The key is finding good advice that fits your own situation and outlook.

The actual wealth of knowledge is amazing if you take the time to find it.

I understand Chica street slang better than your posts. I have absolutely no idea what you are referring to. I happen to be 44 and my posts was relative to where I feel I am in life at the moment. I am a huge Kerouac fan and have re-read On the Road and listen to his Blues and Haikus recordings weekly, but you make him seem straight and sober.
