Don Carlos ,what are you basing your information on ?im Curious do you have experience in this?or just speculation?

I confronted her and asked her why she gave me so many stories and why the lawyer does stupid things like tell her she has letter from congress inviting her and her family as athelets?!? She got quiet and said she dosent know why this happen americans are stupid .

I said I have to go now and she wrote me long email telling me I dont care about her and dont help her so goodbye forever . Ofcourse I didnt reply ..whatever ..I have 2000 more to click on :) Im learning that young girls are fun but are too immature to have a healthy relationship ..even if its on the internet JG

end of saga

Berk....

I agree with Berk. (Did I just say that? :? )

The US embassy doesn't re-evaluate a visa application. Once it is granted or rejected, that decision is final until you apply again. The embassy personnel are too lazy to do twice the work. Plus, with the number of visa applications they see, I'd doubt that they have the resources or desire to evaluate them twice.

She told you she got accepted. You didn't actually witness this, correct? She got rejected off the bat, but had this plan in the works.

This is just a planned-out RFM in my opinion.

It's true Orange, visa's are not reviewed after given. The girl is either lying, or stupid and her lawyer is lying. Good story though.

Yes, I have some experience in this.

I can't remember exactly where I read this but paraphrasing the US Immigration policy:
"All US visa applicants are considered potential immigrants until it is proven that they have more reason to return to their country than to remain in the USA."

And as I've said many times YOU DON'T NEED A LAWYER TO GET A VISA INTO THE USA. You either qualify or you don't. All a lawyer will do is fill out the same forms that you can do by yourself.

Unfortunately poor and uneducated people have often been misled to believe that anyone in a position of "authority" is an expert and is honest and will only work in their best interest.

They then get taken for everything they have to only end up where they started; broke with no visa.

There are so many holes in this story that I would run from it as quickly as possible.

First, I 'd like to say that CRT saved my life - without this forum and the CRT experience, I would still be grinding out every day shackled to a soul-sucking gringa with no hope and no chance for anything better. After stumbling onto this site, I made a few (okay, more than a few) visits to the Gulch, discovered Latinas, fell for one or two, lost the gringa (sure, it was expensive) and went on to a better life. I don't monger any more. My house is smaller, my car is older, but I smile a lot more and I truly enjoy every day.

Just over two years ago, I met a Brasileira on an internet chat site. We hit it off (she's a high school English teacher). She's now part of my life. I love this woman, I love her country, and I'll likely spend part of my time there when I retire (the day I turn 55). Last year, she applied for a tourist visa in the spring to see my daughter get married. It was denied because as a teacher, her income was considered too low to ensure that she would return. Boy, was she pissed. There was no chance for appeal - her visa was denied and any other application was likely to be denied as well unless her circumstances changed.

This year, after much soul searching, we decided to apply for a K-1 fiancee visa. It was a sh*tload of work and expensive as well, but the visa ended up being approved just this month, eight months after we started the process. What Witling (who was dispensing wise advice when I frequented this board) said about lawyers is true, but I did pay a lawyer $350 to fill out the forms - just because I wanted it done correctly. Even a small error can mean months of delay. I could not imagine why anyone would have to pay $6000. She would much rather that I move to Brasil, but I will need to work here another four years. I've been fortunate enough to spend at least a week every month in Brasil and I've got to know the country and the people.

It sounds like you've found a poor but lovely woman who will use you the way that you're using her. As long as that's okay with both of you, have fun. When you're ready to stop mongering and you want to settle down with a real woman, a Brasilaira - a real one - will make you the happiest guy on earth.

Underdog, I remember you. Great story, thanks for sharing.

Now keep that paperwork handy, you'll need it for the AOS, AP, EAD and the follow-on in 2 years to get the restrictions removed from her green card. Did the lawyer mention any of that???

Best of luck to you both.

Ciao I knew you would jump on that quote

JG thanks for the story I too have been interested in bringing a lady up here and the more perspective I get helps.

Must agree with homeboy Orange here. In my research I have never heard of a granted Visa being rejected at the last minute. JG keep this in mind mi amigo: A long con is just that and they payoff of a long con is when the person that is being conned is begging to give the prize up

Thank Goodness you found out if this is the case 8)

wowo this is bizarre man !!This thread died months ago .But Im happy to see it alive again .I was just about to post a new thread about my New novia de internet in the dominican republic .when I saw this up top !! Let me tell you what happend to the brasiliera ......

shortly after the Visa rejection she got pissed over something stupid and said goodbye I dont care for her I dont help her blah blah ...so after fighting with angry controlling gringa's in 2 -7 years relationships I used my learned battle skills and did not reply !!yes no reply is always best

Botton line is she didnt need me anymore .Truth I never promised to bring her here and she never asked she was lonely and sick of Brazillian Men and saw her furture in the States .She planned on overstaying her Visa and Our Government is smart enough to see this so good for them :)

Good luck to you and your woman I believe she is the one for you I just hope you can keep her happy when she is here .It will be culture shock .Im sure you read the CRT riot act about the 3 to 6 months rule .
