I remember HATING this song when it was a hit in 1990. Was this acceptable behaviour? Is a woman capable of doing such a thing?
Why are they playing this song on the radio? How naive I was.

I do not however believe that this is the only perspective from which to look at female behavior. It is the biological/genetic explanation, but there are other sciences that might explain why women do as they do.

Unless you disregard psychology as a pseudo-science, that is.

Seriously, it's tough to disagree with your conclusions. This would also explain why those of us who are older or disabled (biologically less fit for reproduction) must rely on money (bringing pollen to the hive) in order to entice the female.

The part of this thread that mentioned biological selection as a function of making women prettier and more biologically competitive over time reminded me of a humorous discussion I had in Stockholm a few years ago. I traveled frequently to Norway and Sweden and could never quite get over the physical beauty of the plethora of Scandanaian women in the populace. When I mentioned it to some of my Swedish scientific co-workers, they simply replied that they were lucky to have a good gene pool for creating beautiful women. I responded that luck had nothing to do wth it. I said that the vikings spent at least 500 years raiding the coast of England, Scotland, Ireland, France etc and that their ancestors had killed the ugly girls and stolen the pretty ones to keep themselves warm on long cold Scandanavian nights. That statement brought the house down with laughter and an acknowledgement that my hypothis was probably true.

It is even true to this day. The Danish Crown Prince married an Austrailian hottie. Assuming that paternity is correct, their Ch*ld is a direct ancestor of Gorm the Old, the first Danish King who ruled way back in 900 A.D. It is the oldest continuous Royal Family in the world. The Danes are still searching far and wide to bring home the babes. The Swedish Crown Princess I believe is part Brazilian, if I am not mistaken. She is a babe too.

As for the places they raided, I was really disappointed in the quality of women in the British Isles. They are fat and average looking. Think the Spice Girls. That is about as good as it gets. All of them are 7s in my book. Maybe the Vikings took all the hotties with them.

If you want to see purebred Viking women, the Icelandic people are pretty much genetically pure as they are all descendents of Viking settlers from about 1,000 years ago. Most guys are blown away by their beauty.

This info is covered in sociology as well I had a class my freshman year that I still remember vividly because it said exactly verbatim what you have posted in your well done lecture, and at that time and laying it out in such a matter was not very PC in academia but that is exactly what our professor was telling us yes women look FIRST at your earning potential and ability to support K*ds because they are committing their reproductive organs to you and 9 months of hell followed by 20 years of rearing your offspring so the upshot the acedemics determined that women are extremely calculating and crafty when choosing to mate and love took a back seat etc etc.

And PA the takeaway from the sociology class for the males is biologically we are geared to procreate as many times as possible with as many different females as possible to further spread our genes......That is why men can never just settle or be happy with just one. Hence society set up marriage an institution to financially protect women from our wandering urge.(takeaway... marriage is all upside for women all downside for men dont do it especially in costa rica)
Now transfer the lecture to CR it would seem the Ticos are definitely winning in this whole spread your genes competition because they impregnate all the girls with 3 K*ds before the chica turns 20, and then the gringos end up financially supporting their offspring. sure,natural selection is well known term in colleges and connecting it to genes makes sense as we need teach students something.
but what are facts against this idea?
there are many and some are very strange....suicides.
more than 1 million people commit suicides worldwide including USA
where the number is between 10 000 and 30 000 depending on
source of statistics.sure,we can make explanation that will fit natural selection theory.
gay people.as at least 1% of population are gays in today's world
nobody found reasonable explanation.
crime.80% of crimes commited by men and we may ask--why
instead of sex they prefer crime.
