I've seen a thread here in the past on suggested gifts , trinkets etc to bring to CR, any help to the link or ideas would be appreciated

First of all change the title of the topic because you almost make me book an immediate flight to CR. Imagine that chicas giving giveaways. Sweet, what a dream.

I won’t be able to guide you in what to get the chicas, but wanted to comment on the practice of giving trinkets and other small gifts to the chicas.

I always negotiate or give a fair price to the chica to be with me. I may buy them a drink or take them out for dinner. I always treat them with respect and utmost admiration. In other words, I want to take them out of the P4P and be a novia for the day/evening. I’ll ask, if you were here in the states, would you offer your date/girlfriend a cheap trinket for the evening? Some of the gringas will even take offense to that.

I do give a “propina” for great service when doing P4P. The extra effort on BBBJ or the occasional “anal probing” needs to be rewarded. What better suggested gift than money? The only time that I have given some gift away is when I have connected to a favorita and I want to make a special occasion and night of it. I put some thought into it by obviously getting to know her before we meet again and try to get something less generic and closer to their personality. I know, it takes effort but that is where the payoff comes from.

I’m not arguing about giving trinkets to the chicas, just that sometimes it diminishes them and reminds them of the classic client/master relationship of P4P instead of the wonderful experience that the two of you just had. My two colones.

I would suggest Victoria's Secret products. At the stores they sell fragrances, cremes lotions ect... for 5 or 6 for $30.00; others products 3 for $24.00 The same products sold individually in CR sell for $10-$20 per item. The chicas love it and if you have a fav that you see regularly it will help make the night more enjoyable.

Also if your fav uses a particular product, for example my fav uses as Pantene shampoo/conditioner or Ponds facial creme, bring some along and it is usually appreciated.

In the past I have stuffed the nooks and crannies of my suitcase with scarves which the chicas love. I have also taken the small perfume samplers that com e is six packs from Target, Kohls or similar stores. But, my biggest surprise on my last trip is that I had a big jar of Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans in my room. The chicas went nuts for them. I guess that these candies were unknown in CR.

Cheap trinkets or anything with candy in or attched to it is a good inexpensive gift/propina for the puta who really dosen't care about you.
If you find a cool chica that becomes a regular or novia then you might want to get her something a little nicer. You can get some sexy stuff on the internet for pretty good prices. A novia might like something from your home town or a well known resort you visited in the states.
I've given out a few $10-15 walkman-like cd players to chicas I've known for awhile.... They like those.
Regarding the true pros you find....
Most of the girls that you will meet are not going feel "diminished" (as Josie put it) about you giving them a small gift. After all , they don't get squat from their real boyfriends unless its stolen or Romeo thinks he's about to get kicked out of his free place to stay. Just don't waste alot of money trying to impress them with anything more than a cheap gift because .....
There was no real romance on their part and after you go your seperate ways you will not likely be on their minds much until the next time they see you anyway.

I have found great luck in cheap but glitzy jewlery. My statagy, promise a choice of one for great service, two for out of this world service. I usually warm them up with one pre-servcie gift (usually adds two bucks or so to the price), which often works for me. Of course, it is all in the "sell" and it is fun to get the girls working hard for the bling..They are hookers, and money is number 1, but they are also women, and women who love stuff (as nearly all do).

All women love elegant feminine gifts; it does not matter which country they live in. But no one is impressed with receiving junky or trashy gifts. You can get some quality gifts on sale.

Many things simply cannot be purchased in CR or if it can be purchased, it is substantially more expensive than in the US. Quality made lingerie and perfume are expensive in CR. But you can get quality items in the US at a reasonable price if you shop.

My experience is that the feeling a woman gets by receiving a gift that is something special and otherwise rare is more important than the actual gift. That isn't too clear. Let me rephrase it: a special and unique gift makes them feel special and unique. It gives them bragging rights: look at what I got.

I reserve the gifts for a regular.

Body glitter has worked for me in the past--3 for a dollar, pass them out like candy( big spender that I am). Also, several times, I have bought thongs on Ebay for about a buck apiece--they luv em. For my favoritas, I have gone all out and purchased cheap jewelry on Bidz.com----and hope that the jewelry does not turn green before the session is over

Not for cheapskates but you can find 1-2GB MP3 players for 30 bucks, load up with some latin & gringo music and you could even get a session (or a novia) out of the deal.

You hit the nail on the head there. VS is very mediocre and quite pricey considering their lack of quality. BUT the Ticas think it is manna from heaven.

you are right C.O. , the ticas don't but the Colombianas do. They all prefer the lingerie made in Colombia, much better quality. But they won't turn down freebies... haha

Boy do I agree w/you about Columbianas. I had once considered buying Columbian lingere and bringing it here to sell. That was before I learned that Ticas don't have a clue and either buy cheap or some perceived status brand.

Yep, you probably get more mileage out of Ticas, but the Colombianas have way more taste and class.....
