Okay, so I was heading back from Nicaragua last month, right? Had an amazing time surfing, drinking cheap beer, and generally enjoying the pura vida. Get to the border, and this guy, who looked like he hadn't slept in a week, starts grilling me. "What's the purpose of your visit?" "How much money do you have?" "Where are you staying?" The usual. Then he asks about my camera. "What kind of photos did you take?" I show him some beach shots, a few pictures of monkeys, nothing crazy. Then he gets to this one picture of a volcano, and he just stares at it. Like, really stares. Finally, he says, "This volcano is sacred. You cannot take pictures of it." I’m thinking, "Dude, it's a freaking volcano! Everyone takes pictures of it." But he's serious. He confiscates my memory card! Claims it's evidence of "disrespecting Nicaraguan culture." I tried to argue, but he just kept repeating, "Sacred volcano.[url=https://kryptoradar.pl].[/url] |
