Anyone flown their Colombian lady to mexico direct?
I was thinking of flying my lady friend from MDE to Mexico and I would fly and meet there. Does she need only passport, return ticket and hotel reservations at immigration into Mexico?

I checked on internet and seems for Colombian girls they would need return ticket and hotel reservation printouts and of course their passport:)

I met my Nica friend from CR in Mexico twice. she lives in CR with Nica passport.

I bought ticket and forwarded confirmation # with step by step instructions (First time on plane)

She had to get a visa. They asked her for copy of bank statement.

First trip to Merida was no problem.
Immigration asked her what and why she’s going to Mexico.

2nd trip to Cancun she came with 2 other girls
(My two friend’s invited their chica friends from CR)

They didn’t need a visa but they did asked them lots of questions at immigration.
They went through immigration separately so they were questioned individually.

My girl and one other girl went through no problem. The third girl didn’t have all the answers and was very nervous.

What she’s doing there, who is she meeting, how did she pay for the trip?
(She said boyfriend from the states) what’s his name, (she only knew first name) what City is he from.

She asked my Nica friend to come over to help her. Immigration thought my Nica friend was the madame and bringing them to Mexico to work.

Luckily my Nica friend was more calm and answered the questions. She showed the agent our flight details and where we’re staying.

We met them at the exit of immigration. Everyone was stressed out and pissed off. What a way to start a vacation.

NOTE: make sure you book a direct flight from CR/Columbia to Mexico.
If you try to save money and have stop over, you may need addition visa which they may not get.

I booked flight with stop over in Miami. Big mistake I had to buy another last minute ticket at the airport that flew direct.

If you plan to drive in Mexico, always go the speed limit. They have speed traps setup. Posted sign is 80kph then drops to 30,10 then stop. in a very short distance.

Two Cops is stationed at the end of this and flags me to pull over.

They told me I was speeding I would have go back into the city to court and pay the ticket. Something like 1,800 pesos.
If I pay them 900p I can skip the court and they would let me go.
What a scam!!!!!

Eventually everyone got over the stressful beginning at immigration and the vacation was a success.

Yes... all the time. Passport, return ticket and hotel reservations are enough. When Mexico first opened its border to Colombian women, unaccompanied women were getting hassled. But over the past year, I've had amigas from MDE fly in without any problems.

The toll road Hwy 180D has speed limits up to 110 km/h, but the Federales will let you slide up to 130 km. Two years we got clocked doing 143 km/hr. Tried to get out of the jam with an incentive of $10 US. He remarked, boy that's cheap! A $20 made him happy, though.

Know a couple that wife had her drink doctored. Husband(a paramedic) took her to the hospital and doctor says she's been poisioned. He want $4,000 to give her the antidote to make her well. Husband went to pharmacy got the necessary medicine to make her well and they flew back home the next day. When I went thru customs the guy planted a small bag of weed in my carryon. He first asked if I was by myself. My bag had already been searched in DFW and the customs guy(USA) pulled everything out and I was clean. But in mexico suddenly I had a bag of weed. They held me for 2 hours and then finally told me I could go. Cancun/Playa del Carmen is a beautiful place but many scams to look out for.
