We just lost a true music legend...BB King, the 'King of the Blues' has passed away at age 89. He could put more meaning in one note than most guitarists could playing one hundred. RIP BB.

Nobody this side of Louis Armstrong or possibly Bob Marley did so much to spread their music genre so far and wide to such acclaim. I think it is no coincidence that both gents were such great men personally too. Mr. King had a terrific album as recently as 2011 (when he was 86). RIP to THE King of the Blues.

Live at Montreux 1993 is actually the better concert. Just sayin'...

I think "boring" is a bit strong--how about "repetitive", at least towards the end? I like your 2 mentions and that northern Mississippi trance Blues mode. Here's one from each to illustrate:
