No shuck'n'jive, no scam and I don't pimp paid services. There is something like $10 Billion (that's BILLION) in unclaimed funds floating around our monetary system from a myriad of sources--forgotten-about life insurance policies, abandoned bank accounts, 401(k) accounts with a former employer, etc, etc. Here's short, well-written article on how you can check to see if some of your money can be returned to you--I emphasize there is nothing funky or shady about this, or the NYTimes wouldn't mention it.: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/01/your- ... aimed.html Taken from that are 2 sources of research: https://www.unclaimedretirementbenefits ... fault.aspx https://www.unclaimed.org/ Also check in with every state you spent any time in--they all have Unclaimed Property offices (whatever they might be called) and their business is to help you Wanna be a hero to your family and friends? Whether or not you score, guide them through this easy-peasy process and maybe they' get something--and you're someone special. There are no doubt commercial enterprises/lawyers offices that can search for a fee-I'd be very wary and check them out thoroughly, especially if they come to you. |
