Can anybody suggest a good free web space compare? Time Warner Cable just shut down my personal web space and I have no way to upload the NFL pool standings. I found a few but they limit the uploaded files to 1/4 MB which is not much, the files I upload are up to 1 MB. thanks |

You might look at Dropbox. When you sign up, you get free space. It may be enough. However, when you "invite" others to join so they can share (view) a folder that you put up, then you get additional free storage space. Not sure that it will work for you, but you might give it a shot. You can also download an App to your cellphone or tablet and get access to your files. |

We use Google Docs for work but everyone is able to revise the documents so I guess you would need a way to lock it. If you do a search for gmail documents, there are plenty of links for info out there.I don't need to have a gmail account to view the document though and just follow the link given. MSN has OneDrive which says you get 15GB free when you sign up. I don't know if you need a MSN account to view or not since I have never used it. |

I forgot how stupid dropbox is. You can't just open a friggin link, you have to download the file and save it before you can view it. That's dumb. Is there any way to make the link from dropbox open like a regular webpage? |

I don't think so. I think by the person who you refer to dropbox downloading the software is how you get the 500MB additional storage space added to your account. I think I'm up to 3.5 GB due to all of the people that I get set up on Dropbox to share files back and forth. You can also purchase space which may allow your visitors/customers to not have to download the software; you would have to ask Dropbox on this. |

I know it's not free but you can go on webhostingtalk and look for specials in the shared hosting offer section. You can get find plans for as little as $1 per month and there are no annoying ads. |

Thanks, I just went to GoDaddy, and bought a domain and hosting. Only cost me $24 for a year, got 70% off by using a promo code I found. http://www.orange99online.com I don't have a website (and don't plan on having one), I just needed webspace to post the NFL pool standings. http://www.orange99online.com/crt/NFL2014/week3.htm |
