Tell that lead guitar player to get a decent axe, like a Strat, Tele or a Les Paul :)

I enjoyed the videos, but besides Wooly Bully, I was hoping to see a cover of Li'l Red Riding Hood (Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs). I always liked that song :)

Decent axe? Despite the fact I am a pure on stoned Telecaster boy, props have to be laid out to the Kramer people. The vast, unknowing public has only heard of Gibson or Fender and even at that know the word telecaster and Stratocaster. Simple simons.

There are many, many custom made guitars that exceed what any American Fender guitar can do. Look at http://www.kauerguitars.com as but one example. Same with amps. People know Fender and Marshall. New stuff is junk (my 1968 Twin Reverb an exception).

Take a look at 65 Amps: http://www.65amps.com Most have never heard of 'em. Fine by me. That Empire, running just one head let alone two heads will fill a stadium and 45 blocks all around: http://www.65amps.com/index.php/65-amps/empire

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQXCzhvH ... e=youtu.be are the L'7s Zunbake3 is an integral aspect of............

Well, I still say you can't beat a Les Paul or a 'high-end' (Custom Shop) Fender. I had a 1990 Fender 'Clapton model' Strat (the third year they were produced). It was a great guitar...had the Lace Sensor pickups, which were 'active', meaning you could boost the midrange by 25 dB via a tone-knob, and provided a humbucker tone, with awesome sustain! It was modeled after 'Blackie', one of Clapton's favorite 'earlier' guitars. Damn, talk about inflation...I just checked the price of a new 'Clapton model' Strat...$1,600 and up. I paid $700 for mine in 1990.

I was not familiar with 65amps. I see they've been in business since 2004 or so. Apparently they were inspired by the 18-watt Marshall and VOX AC15 amps. Indeed, they look like excellent amps! You can't beat those EL34/EL84 tubes!

Gringotim/Steven1:

Gringotim, thanks for the compliment, how much do I owe you, LOL! Actually, we have done Lil Red Riding Hood when we had a gal named Joelle play the Rickenbacker guitar for us years ago, that was her submission request to our songlist. Perfect song for my key.

I playz a little geetar myself and love my American Standard Strat and ES 335 (nice pickups almost make it sound like a Gibson). I also have a Martin Acoustic/Electric and a small Martin that I take with me in my travels. Steven1 has seen that one, I believe me and Steven1 jammed at the Amistad about a year ago, me a strumming some Dylan and Steven1 playin the harp and singin in that blues style he be doin real good. Like I said Steven1, you ain't drunk, you just beez drinkin, YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carlos gave us a standing ovation that old Hippie!!

!! shhhhhhhhhhh......keep it down S2!!!

Gringotim, no slight intended. It's just a "very personal" thing. I simply do not like the fret sets on the Les Paul and the tone and sound I am looking for cannot be done with the Strat....or at least I never got it there. The thinline Tele is my baby....ceptin' it has a wee bit of a problem playing under volume......FEEDBACK....but that's fixable: duct tape a big chunk of leather to the back of the f cutout (on the underneath side....duh....) and no more feedback. Then again the Tele Custom sound is so warm with that hummer but will twang when called upon....whereas the Tele Deluxe bites and cuts through Strat's solo...even when the Strat's on 12! hahahahahahahahaha

PS: And, Gringotim....you are 110% correct about that tube structure. Gimme the 6L6GC however!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPdKSlQOBYE is a random selection from, like it or not, one of the mega giants of rock: Sold millions and millions of records, sold out huge concert venues regularly and boasted countless fans around the world…and, naturally, were hated by most critics. Sorta like most of the bands not yet in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Though they were constantly degraded by the press, the Rolling Stone Album Guide rates their first two LPs – consisting almost entirely of original material – four stars each. Their fifth LP also gets four stars. The All-Music Guide added their third LP, “Closer To Home,” as a four-star effort and said of their live album, released the same year, “they were the live performing act of the time, and this album is a testament to their in-concert power.” I do believe Zunbake3 will allow this posting which does deviate from the blues and his own efforts with the L'7s.

But you can judge for yourself. The Animals were one of the great bands of the ’60s. In 1966, they released a fair-sized hit with Eric Burdon’s “Inside-Looking Out.” On their second album, “Grand Funk,” Farner, Schacher and Brewer covered it. Listen to both versions side by side. Then tell me Grand Funk wasn’t a great band.

S1, the HOF is a joke. Grand Funk nailed the best jam of all time on that song at Hershey Park in 1969.

Steven 1:

Regarding your comments about Fleetwood Mac, Greeny was my favorite of the British Guitar Blues Players and a voice, an ethereal blues voice, outer worldly. Check out his video You Tube on the song Oh Well, at the end of the song you can see him laughing uncontrollably from the acid blowing his mind, sad story what happened to a great blues genius. BTW, you can obviously find it on You Tube in a matter of minutes, no reason to be lazy, we don't need CNAs or HHAs yet to help us with our ADLs. YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
