Excessive caution and lack of will doesn't equal stupid. Is Obama subject to the cross-border rough ripping that Toronto's Mayor gets...or The Young Twit either? Deservedly. Yeah, we got our schmucks (the mayor of San Diego, Ca, comes to mind--and the governor of NJ) and I live in a 50% Canadian community so I'm not anti-...but these 2 examples of Goofus Rufus leads one to wonder...

So its ok if you criticize a sitting mayor that many people like and who will probably get reelected? Who nominated you arbiter of what is "political talk" and what is "smack talk"?

Obama destroyed a health care system that most people liked and then repeatedly lied about it. If I had your "train wreck" President, I wouldn't be talking about Canada's politicians.

We have our share of idiots like every other country Ford is an embarrassment to the city of Toronto. I'm not criticizing his policies. I'm criticizing his behaviour, telling lies and smoking crack.

For the good news, we are proud of our Canadian athletes for their excellent performance at the winter olympics. Hope we face the USA in the hockey final.

Valid question and here's the answer: When you talk about an individual, it's smack talk; when you talk about policies (which I did not do), it's politics. We clear on the distinction? BTW, rip Pres. Obama all you want--he's been a severe disappointment to those who believed in him, me included.
