Personally I am not but that young quarterback Colin Kaepernick sure didn't look like somebody who was in his first start last night. Kind of reminiscent of the Tom Brady/Drew Bledsoe scenario a few years back. No way should Alex Smith get his job back.

It's like having an old reliable car (Alex Smith 6-2-1) and an exciting sportscar ( C. Kaerpernick 1-0) in your garage.

Yea Alex Smith was getting it done but that K*D last night was poised. He was pretty impressive.

Let's not get too far afield gentlemen. Alex Smith is the guy right now and will continue to be through the end of this season. His style of play works very well under Coach Harbaugh's offense. Also, Alex Smith is getting paid $24M under his contract while Kaepernick is getting a paltry (by comparison) $700K. TRUST me. When the time comes, Kapernick will not likely be wearing the red and gold next year but will start with another team with a huge salary/contract. Several NFL teams could use his talent right now!

The San Diego Chargers are my #1 team but being as that I've lived here in Nor-Cal for almost 20 years, I follow the 49ers with great interest.

Very true, my FAVORITE team is whoever is playing the Dallas Cowboys. Why you might ask? Because I live all around their fans.

Not so fast my friend! (In my Lee corso voice) . Alex Smith is due a huge roster bonus in April. If it is me, I am going with the K*D. If not this year, then definitely next year. I would be positive I could find someone to replace Alex Smith!

I am from Nor-Cal myself (East Bay),,,,I am equally just as impressed with their defense. The two Smiths playing defense are a couple of BEAST..

I totally agree, Smith isn't anything special he is adequate but has no special talent. The team around him is why he looked like he did. Go with the K*D, he is on a roll, can run, pass, and think plus he has tattoos which makes him even cooler in my book.

Last word was they were keeping Smith on the bench. Is this still the plan?

Well that goes to show how wrong I was. Harbaugh benched A. Smith in favor of Kaepernick. Result? A Niner's victory on the road against the N.O. Saints dimming their playoff hopes. I stand corrected. Looks like A. Smith lost his job for the foreseeable future. :?

I have to agree with you both before and after.

49ers are 4 1/2 point favorite against the Ravens.

Haven't the Ravens been the dog in every play off game?
