A different kind of scandal is currently affecting the administration of Laura Chinchilla with the firing of a ranking government official, this time though not for corruption, but rather for being what some would call an idiot for the publication of an intimate video.

The video circulating on YouTube is of Karina Bolaños, the vice-ministra de Juventud (vice-minister of Youth), wearing only panties and a bra and lying on a bed, displaying well her natural assets, Bolaños puts on a show for her lover, someone other than her husband as the La Teja alleges.

Bolaños is the wife of Costa Rican legislator, Victor Hugo Viquez.

The Ministro de Comunicaciones, Francisco Chacon, confirmed Monday that Bolaños been sacked - fired. Bolaños now now faces harassment complaints according to a report in La Teja.

This could have been avoided by setting the video to private. :idea:

Wow, how she destroyed herself in Tico land. She had alot going for herself in CR, very succesful woman.

With the Tico two faced morality, she's going to being hurtin for certain for a long time. Not to mention her inevitable divorce, and her novio's.

Surprised she did a TV interview afterwards, said she wasn't ashamed.

As predicted last week:

By the A.M. Costa Rica staff in today's edition:

The husband of former vice minister Karina Bolaños said that he has filed for divorce.

The husband is Víctor Hugo Víquez Chaverri, one of Costa Rica's 57 legislators. Ms. Bolaños, who was fired as vice minister of Juventud, showed up in underwear in a YouTube video presumably made for a man who is not her husband.

There still is a question over who posted the video to YouTube.

The couple have a 14 year old. (DGD: The one who may suffer the most.)
Víquez confirmed the divorce action at the legislature Tuesday and said the divorce will be by mutual accord.
