Thank You brother, as I bass player I loved Allen Woody. The music world lost a great player when he died. Warren Haynes is the most tasteful guitar player singer that plays today. Incredible tone, great vocals, and riffs from hell. When I win the lottery I want a party where he and Gary Rossington trade licks.

I love talented musicians and these are some of the best. Personally have never liked the Rolling Stones because they are the world's longest running garage band. Rush, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Govt. Mule, The Allman Brothers, Charlies Daniels Band, those are musicians.

well i guess we all have our personal favorites. i agree on the allman brothers. to me the rolling stones recorded some of the greatest music up ever up until the late 70s. exile on main street is a masterpiece imo.
oh i missed rush, those three guys can make some sweet noise. hope to catch them one of these days soon.

That cool I agree that the Rolling Stones have written some great song but as musicians they are not great. Mick Taylor was bad ass but Keef, come on? I'll accept your tastes but when Zeppelin and the Who were around in the same era it's hard to digest. I saw the Stones in n82 an saw the Who a little afterwards. It was like driving a Yugo and Comparing it to a Lamborghini.

Yes I have listened to the Black keys, they are sort of an alternative folk rock band, great vocals. I have some friends of mine that live right up the road who are on the verge of breaking out. They are sort of a Texas Country/ Southern Rock band called the Pear Ratz. They are doing their CD Release party (number 3) this Thursday, (I will be there with a hot bartender even though I probably won't score) they went to Iraq and played for the troops last year. Here are a couple of their songs. They changed lead guitarist, Chris Nelson the original lead guitarist has played with my band on several occasions.
