That is the advice of a website that takes note and publishes the names and sometimes photographs of vehicles stopped to chat up or pick a transvestite (travesti in Spanish) in barrio Fátima de Heredia. Photo published on the website "Clientes de Travestis en Heredia : COSTA RICA". The website, "Clientes de Travestis en Heredia : COSTA RICA" is just another tool the residents of Heredia are using to scare off the business of transvestites in their communities. The website uses information from the national registry to publish the license plates of vehicles seen transacting for sexual services on public streets with the men dressed as women, as well as name of the registered owner of the vehicle.
According to the website, the decision to publish the names is due to the scandals and disorders caused by the transvestites and their clients late at night. In one case, the authors of the website explain of how a bus company was asked to take action against one of its drivers when the unit was spotted in a parking lot and the driver inside with a transvestite. In some cases, published photos asks for help in identifying the owner of the vehicle, all in an effort to publicly shame the owner and/or driver. The website warns the owner of the vehicle, publicly, that whoever was driving the vehicle at the exact date and time had contact with a transvestite. One readers to of the website offers the following comment: "I can imagine the pile of old married men rolled up into these silly issues and their dumb wives at home worried they are out in the dangerous streets at that hour. No wonder the population most affected by AIDS are precisely housewives. How ironic."
