I need to have an on board Fax machine in my Company vehicle. At the same time having it not to bulky. Would a wireless laptop or a smart phone that plugs into the fax be best? Or some other combo. I have contacted my local computer store and have gotten little help. Any advice would be appreciated.

My question is why the hell you are using a fax machine with so many companies offering fax to inbox services. If you are sending faxes a portable scanner to scan documents in and then email them out. Fax is dying slowly but surely similar to landlines.

It doesn't help that I'm only a half a step out of the cave when it comes to technology. What I need is the ability to have a paper copy that has an original signature from from my client while being Mobile. Fax to in box I believe is a option. So assuming I can always have Internet available I could just print of a small portable copier?

You just need a portable scanner to attach to your laptop. There are also smartphone apps that will use the camera as a scanner but I haven't used them. Scan the document in and send it as an attachment in email.

That's just the advice I needed. I will contact my Cell Co. and have them walk me through this.
