Is there a bigger joke than the Grammy awards? Well, maybe the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. Just read that they gave a lifetime achievement award to Barbra Steisand. WTF? I think the last time I watched that crap show was about 25 years ago, when Cristopher Cross won the award for Best New Artist. Anyone remember him?...I didn't think so. I think Hootie and the Blowfish also won some award. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Beiber, Celo Green (with a song called Phuck You), Eminem, Nicki Minaj, etc. Wonderful music. Should last about six months. Didn't Amy Winehouse win the award for best song (or best new artist) a couple years ago?. Incredible. I'll never forget it...about two years ago, CNN was interviewing some music 'jounalists', and one young female about 25 years old, who worked for some national magazine, was saying what a genius Eminem was. I nearly fell off my sofa. I wanted to scream at her 'you stupid cunt'...Eminem is not a genius...the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, B.B King, Buddy Guy, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Elton John, et al were geniuses, not Eminem. He covers 'All Along the Watchtower', written by the great Bob Dylan. Most guitarists still aspire to play like him...none succeed. Just an example of the idiots on YouTube...the correct title is 'Isle of Wight', not 'Isle of Wright'. Once again, this is a genius, not Eminem! |
