I know it's down the road a bit. What is the average temperature going to be during these matches?

Just glad it is not USA, some city will need a billion or two or twenty or 50 billion to Build world class stuff for a few days because it will bringing so much money it pay for itself, and then when it does not, as always, the people who could care less about the game, will get stuck with the bill AS ALWAYS.

Nothing to do with my dislike of the game, but with my EXTREME dislike of spending money so some stupid ass politician and his crony's can make a fortune off the tax payers wile strutting around as big shots for a few days. If it so great a economic boom how come it is always the Government who has to fund these projects ( think baseball football stadiums) and not some private party who will make the "profit" on the event . No the real money is selling the idea and supplies to gullibility public, who won't even be able to afford the tickets. The pubic will get screwed and all the little business also (have you seen what they did in South Africa to the little guy) who are trying to make a few dollars. These events are for the rich and powerful only, so they can show us how rich and powerful they are, and get richer

And then lets talk security. Who is going to stuck with that, tax payers of course. We do not need the expense or the headache of the whole thing

Ok I admit I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But, where is Qatar? I have never heard of it?

hint 1
you will not need to worry about eating any yellow now or forgetting you snow boots.

HINT 2

You know those people that some of us think should be profiled at the airports, well you see lot more of them in Qatar then all the airports in the Us of A combined and you now will be the one who is profiled.

Get this...Zinedine Zidane, the former French player, who got ejected from the 2006 World Cup final for head-butting an Italian player, made out like a bandit regarding the fiasco of choosing Qatar. Qatar promised him $3 million just to promote their bid, whether they were successful or not, and $15 million if they won it, so he is $15 million richer now.

It's a little spit of land not bigger than Connecticut sticking off of Saudi Arabia into the western side of the Persian Gulf. Yes, the Middle East.

I think their plan is to build a bunch of air-conditioned stadiums, they sure have the oil money to do it.
