Are you the hotel guest that needs something from every person on a hotel staff every time you pass by them? I have noticed this type of guest from sitting around in the hotel so much. They ALWAYS stop by the reception desk to ask about something or for something. They need everyone in the restaurant to perform some task for them. In general if they come in contact with an employee, they want said employee to do something, anything. Saw this a lot when I worked in restaurants back in the States.

I've seen this too... I'm on the road 70-100 days a year and see many different hotels. But, I must admit sometimes when I first check-in and things aren't "correct", I have visited/called the front desk several times. Normally until things are corrected.

AC not working? Where's the LAN cable? Where's the hair dryer? Foam pillows, not feather? List for local restaurants not in the room?

When you travel as much as I do and maintain a brand loyalty, there's a certain expectation to quality and consistency.

Paco. I totally agree with you about getting things right. This particular type though, is just thinking up something they can ask about or for. In restaurants I figured out it made them feel important to have people weighting on their every whim...

Nah. Not me. I'm only focused on getting things right. Normally after check-in you won't see me around the front desk.

But I have seen that type.
