Once my team ( the Atlanta braves) were out, I rooted for the Yankees to lose.

Little bank beats big bank. 55 mil vs 205 mil. That is classic ass whippin at its best. Thought they would steal it when the umpires blew the wild pitch call that knocked the shit out of the batter in the first part of the game. Bush Beer League at best this was.

Texas Rangers prevailled did not lose they composure.

Josh Hamilton 4 homers in the series!
Gladi Vlad Guerero doble en el centro del estadio!

Tax Ass Rangers! Going to Disneyland after they put up da brooooooooooooms!

Guess there will be Geter sightings in San Jose a lot sooner this year.

five-O

The Rangers management should wash the Phillies management feet and dry them with their hair (assuming they have any) for trading Cliff Lee to them. What a studhorse!

Jazzbo, you know the Phillies didn't trade him to the Rangers. My "insert explicit here" Seattle Mariners did that for you. :P

p.s. So glad the Yankees lost!!!!

Most def' agree with your PS, but I think it was understood that the Mariners weren't going to keep him--he wanted to play for a winning team--AGAIN, and was too valuable to the M's as trade bait. Your essential fact is however correct. Wish (almost) we'd never let him go, but that's baseball.

...And they won it straight up. They got timely hitting from an allegedly shaky offense, their pitching was true-to-form, whereas the Phillies bats are still asleep under that bridge in Austin, Tx. Congrats to the NL champion SF Giants--now go tear up the Rangers. Could be one of the better Series in recent years--I'm thinking a minimum of 6 games. What's the line?
Absent Ross the Boss it might have been tighter, but no tears from me--the lad has a brilliant career ahead--a pleasure to watch him play.
