No doubt in my mind: Mitch Ryder in 1980 and Sylvester and the Hot Band opening for David Bowie in the mid-70's. Who's your faves?

Metallica, 1992 on their tour for the Black album. No opening act, they hit the stage around 8 PM and didn't leave till almost Midnight. Seen them 8 times and while all great shows that had to be the best ever. If you want to a taste of whit its like go get the album Live Shit, Binge and Purge - Mexico City.

Melvin Taylor Not well-known (well, Brother Steven1 probably does) but beastly good. He changed guitars 3 times in 1 song and never lost the narrative flow.

Michael McDonald in a nightclub in '08, promoting Soul Speak in NYC. Never thought I'd be 10 feet from an artist of that stature up close and personal. Talked a bit to him later too.

Alice Cooper
El Paso County Coliseum
July 1972

I was 18 years old, it was over 100 degrees inside and we had a wild time!
