Not to be insensitive but there was nothing great about him. He did mellow with age but he really ruined yankee baseball in the early 80's causing lots of New yorkers ( my family included) to switch to the mets. He was a loud mouthed prick in my humble opinion. At least he forked over the cash to have a great team for the past 15 years or so. Anyway I hope he rests in peace. |
