Regarding the World Cup...
I enjoy watching good soccer, but there were too many games, including the final match, that were not good games.
Those phucking horns drove me nuts! It's a wonder anybody could watch most of a match with that in the background.
Sid Blather (the head of FIFA), or whatever his name is, stated that in general, the refs did a good job. WTF??? What about the goal the U.S. had that was called a non-goal? Or the goal England had that was waived off by the ref? Or the obvious off-sides goal that Argentina had? If those calls don't make the case for replays, I don't know what will. Sure, replays would interfere with the flow of the game, but on important game-changing calls, to not use technology is ludicrous.
In the end, I think the best team won. Almost all of the Spain players are from the Real Madrid or Barcelona clubs. Barcelona has been almost unbeatable the past two years.
