You laugh, you cry, you get by. You thought the new banking regs would curb the banks hunger for profits/ greed? Have I got a bridge to sell you! Check this for their end-runs around: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 17326.html FULL DISCLOSURE: I had a chump-change account, a nuisance account, in their lingo, at a big national bank so I closed it. I now "bank" exclusively with a Credit Union--the way to go. 8 or 80, crippled, blind or crazy, there's a Credit Union for you-- http://www.findacreditunion.com/ |

I have been pure CU for 28 years now, easy to deal with and for the most part always get what I want and need with just one phone call to the first person who picks up the phone. and no phone answering system that moves you around and around first. Some time this year they are even moving the CC to local control and then one simple call one simple log on for every thing. I deal with a lot of banks in my work and after 29 years of that, if I ever used a bank again it be a small ( one or two location) or a small town regional bank where the local President still makes ALL the decisions. You be surprised how many Presidents in banks are nothing more then figure heads and some K*D 6 months out of college some where across the county is deciding your fate with never being out side a confined life of school and privilege status. |
