My heart says United States. :D
My head says Brazil. :(
My prediction is Spain. 8)

Here's the best goal of the world Cup so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ks3h2PbR7Y&feature=player_embedded

For those of us who have come to fútbol late in life, here's a great place to learn a lot more about the strategy of the games for this year's World Cup. http://www.zonalmarking.net/

I didn't need to click on the link to know which goal you were talking about. He had some spin on that ball or something, beautiful goal..... Germany looks strong. Some are taking the Netherlands as a possible. Lots of good matches yet to come.

I have not missed a game yet. South Korea looked really good and was happy for them.

Don't count out Argentina. While they have zippy for center backs but the pure level of talent on that team is off the charts. I counted at least 8 shots on goal by Messi alone. Sure none connected but 8 shots is unheard of for a single player.

Germany is strong but Australia is a god awful team full of old guys and the Aussie pro league makes the MLS look like the EPL.

Brazil showed today they can play and score when it suits them. Portugal showed that a strong team can stop them and Ronaldo will take a dive if a puff of wind hits him. It will be interesting when they play Brazil. Would love to speak Portuguese to hear the trash talk on that pitch. You can guarantee Ronaldo will be called a bitch.

Netherlands showed their weakness which is defense. They were often caught flat when Denmark made runs at the goal. They could mask it by keeping possession but when the ball was going the opposite way they were exposed.

I hope the US outlasts the English. This is the homer in me wanting it to finally show that the US is starting to arrive and Fabio Capella isn't worth the 9 million a year he's getting!

Spain hasn't played yet. They are one of the favorites because they won the Euro Cup. They will win the group and will likely advance past the first knoackout stage but not sure they will go the distance.

Italy showed they are old. They should have never drawn that game but at the end you could tell they were running out of gas. Age is catching up to them

France -  all I can add to that.

Enjoy the games!

Wow! Woke up late and didn't know Spain was playing this morning... What a shock after all the talk about Spain being a favorite! It's early, but not a good way to start...

Watched usa v england at an irish bar here in ft.lauderdale.very good atmosphere and both anthems were sung with gusto.Very good sing-song and usa need a few chant's to add to their one chant repertoire.....bit boring so far, that's because everyone is afraid to lose...great result for the swiss.... :o

Anybody know any good bars for the games? Will be in SJ on Monday and Tuesday night. Was at Outback yesterday afternoon and saw a smoking chica pulling for Spain...
