here is an article about the best hotels/chains in CR......I was thinking there could be a list of the Worst....I'll start with the Nuevo Johnson and Asia as being among the tops on the low rent scale....I know there are some downtown tico hotels/joints offering interior rooms for around 4 or 5 bucks a night. (shared hallway bath) here are the supposed best In 1990, the first world class hotel chain to enter the Costa Rican market was Barceló. Today, some 20 years later, Costa Rica now is home to the Marriott, Best Western, Intercontinental and Hilton, among others.
