Whoa, dude, either you are Rip Van Winkle's descendant or the chicas have had you too busy, but the Phillies won the title in 2008. They are not the reigning champs.

Brother LiK--Depends on how you define "champs". World--no//NL--yes. And hey, take out that one horrific inning (or Mr. Howard's "no doubt about it" 2-run shot and Mr Polanco's slambo), and it was a much closer game. If the Nats had opened against any other NL East team, they might not have gotten quite so shattered.

Went to the Red Sox game last night at Fenway home of the green monster -- never mind they had a chance to win when the bases were loaded; those Red Sox fans are really fans; I mean hard core.

Brother C'dud'e Nats are playing some respectable baseball these days--much better than the Phillies disastrous West Coast tour. And then there's the over-the-top NY Mutts 9-1 record--best in Base Ball but they'll come back to earth soon.
