Yes sirree today is Jazzbro's 2nd annerversary here at CRT...happy anniversary amigo! with his avg of over 2000 posts a year as compared to Irish Drifter's 1500/yr we should see Jazz rise to the top in about 10 years!!! You go dude! |

Well, now, baseball also has a stat (thanks to Bill James) called "Quality Hits". If we had that, it might skew the rankings a bit--Brother Orange's Thread #16357 just flat smokes all the blather and hot poop I've ever belched--no joke. |

I know there are Quality STARTS, but Quality hits? WTF is a Quality hit in Bill James' opinion? Wouldn't they be known as RBIs or extra base hits? |

An RBI that wins a game is quality--a RBI from either team in a blowout that doesn't, isn't. Brother Orange's post went beyond that--to many, many guys it was a game changer. |

They do show regularly the batting average with with runners in scoring position and they even take it further. They do it with the number of outs and # of balls and strikes. I think they should spend more time scouting out hot chicas in the crowd esp ones eating a hotdog. Dean |
