Languages constantly change over time and add new words or drop them as cultural changes occur. I always found it amusing that France and Spain have or had formal institutions to 'police' the purity of their respective languages. not that they are successful at that policing. That said I enjoy hearing speech from those who really know how to speak well. But, I also enjoy hearing less cultured local 'dialects'. Vive la difference. |
