How long will it take for my beloved record setting Detroit Lions to snap their 17 game losing streak?

Somebody who loves the Detroit Lions (or the Pittsburgh Pirates) is truly in need of therapy...which is fortunately available at Relax or La Mansion or HLH...for less than you'd find it with your friendly neighborhood group therapy session.

My prediction, the Detroit Lions snap their 23 game losing streak following the bye when the host the even more HAPLESS St Louis Rams on November 1..

Jazzbo,

Thanks for the advice; I wish I could make a therapy session at one of the CR places you had mentioned. I have to root for the home team and that is the Lions. It’s easy to get on the band wagon of a winner and I refuse to do that. My hope is that my pitiful Detroit Lions can somehow turn it around and at least become respectable sometime in the near future.

I empathize with Brother SnapperTrapper, especially about staying with them in good times and bad. It wasn't all that long ago that the Eagles were a pretty sad-sack team, going something like 3-13. Of course 2 of the 3 victories were beating the NY/NJ/Whereverthefuck Giants. But hey...!
Which brings up an interesting point--in every sport it seems one team "owns" another, even if the "owner" is miserable and the other, doing well. You guys that really know sports can probably come up with many more examples, from every major and college sport. Might be an interesting chart. Run with it, gents!

Why is it the regardless of the players, once someone puts on that Lions uniform it’s always the same old song and dance? Changing of coaches and coordinators never seems to help either. I/we up here in Mo-Town are getting sick of this incompetent bullshit of a football team. It gets tiring to always think that maybe next year things will get better!

as soon as they play the Fackers, with a blow out for the Lions if the game means something for the Fackers

Bob Uecker owed Sandy Koufax, that’s per BOB U and he would never lie( it is in bobs book) one of the true mysteries of the universe

Get hold of a copy of "Paper Lion" with Alan Alda playing George Plimpton. At least you'll be more entertained than watching the Lions play.
