Pittsburgh isn't really my team but it is still impressive that they did it in Detroit without Crosby for most of the game. Watching Mario raise the cup again brought back some good memories.

Brought back memories for me but totally different one. GM of Pittsburgh is Ray Shero son of Freddie (The Fog) Shero coach of the Broad Street Bullies when they were winning Stanley Cups.

Wonderful news! Now they can play the LA Lakers for the World Championship Indoor Soccer Irrelevancy title. Need to get my ticket soon--I hear it's going to be in Tuvalu and tix are going quick.
No, seriously, how can you enjoy a sport where 1/2 the teams get into a Championship round, thus rendering the season meaningless--and where the Championship of a winter sport is determined 2 weeks before summer starts?

MY Islanders are the last team to win 4 CUPS in a row, 80-84. Looks like that record wount be broken in our lifetime.
